The story of this young brand from Amsterdam starts with two graduated industrial designers who made a table for a famous person. Friends saw the table and became enthusiastic, so the boys were allowed to make thirty tables in the same design. This turned out to be the basis for Robust: timeless essentials for a minimalist and comfortable home. The design of a table turned into a bed and this became Robuust's first product, after which a growing, small selection of products followed. A wall shelf, a book shelf or... record holder, a side table, a coat rack, a mirror and a few other items. And although the collection aims to remain small - because how much stuff does a person need in their home? – this collection is slowly evolving. As true designers of our time, sustainability is high on Robuust. All items are made from 80% recycled metal and some items from CO2-neutral and FSC-certified bamboo. The good stuff. And made to last for generations.
You can choose from a black or white powder coat finish for the bed frames. Multiple colors such as sand, sage or blass brown are possible for smaller items. With these basic items you can then go all out with colorful, natural or even classic styling. Robuust supplies the essentials and you make it your own. Here the question arose as to how such fragile-looking items could still be sturdy. The smart men have developed the products - with the help of good thinking and a laser robot - in such a way that the designs are robust. With a capital R. And which can easily be put together by someone with a left and right hand, accompanied by a video tutorial. In addition to minimalist, sustainable and beautiful, we also give them the stamp 'smart'.
