ROEF Day Park bring the highest roofs to life! Did you know that no less than 12 km2 of unused roof landscape in Amsterdam waiting to be used? That's 25 times the Vondelpark.. In comes ROEF Day Park, they will take you along for a day to show you what is possible with those unused city roofs and urban spaces. They are all about transforming those forgotten places into new hotspots. Not only to offer a kind of green and creative oasis, but also to bring people together, to make them aware of sustainability and biodiversity. It is the place for everyone to enjoy a day full of activities, workshops and performances. Oh and of course to relax, as it should be in a park.
ROEF is back on September 10, 2023 in Amsterdam. At 08:00 in the morning they start with a bang. The top parking deck of Q-Park Westergasfabriek Amsterdam will be a magical day park for one day. Those concrete parking lots will become a high-altitude urban paradise, packed with programming from the early hours.
ROEF is a recurring highlight, and this time in the form of a day park. And not just any day park, but one with the best view.
Of course, such a day is the perfect way to think about how cities can become greener and more vibrant. We can never get enough of hours of park sessions, picnic spots, park games and birthday parties, right?
- Start your day healthy with a Tai Chi / Dao Yin session.
- Come for a picnic and drinks (if you don't feel like lugging things around, you can also order a picnic basket).
- Participate in the plant cutting workshop by Studio Wendel (known for their favorite spot Wildernis).
