Very small but above all very nice Mexican in the Jordaan: ROSARIO COCINA MEXICANA Amsterdam
We were already fans of Mexican cuisine, and we love our beautiful Amsterdam (and also Mexico, by the way), just a little more love the Jordaan and well, and when all that comes together, we spontaneously start wagging our tails. Hands on each other Rosario Cocina Mexicana Amsterdam in the Amsterdam Jordaan (on the Tweede Egelantiersdwarsstraat, one of the most beautiful and certainly the most pleasant streets in Amsterdam). Don't expect tired-looking tacos and nachos. No no, at Rosaria Cocina Mexicana Amsterdam the serious Mexican cuisine of Tamales and Carnitas de pato (duck confit). Ah, you're gone already? We'll see you there!
Of course there are tacos, duh, luckily, although those from Rosario Cocina Mexicana Amsterdam are a bit different than you are used to, such as Tacos 'the milpa' with roasted cauliflower and sprouts, baked sweet potato and stewed chard. How good does that sound? Just as good as it tastes! Or how about Tepache Rosario, fermented pineapple drink with rum. Exciting a lot
That's not all that surprising: owner Nina previously cooked at Toscanini, among others, and spent many years in her beloved Mexico. One (cooking) and one (the love for Mexico) is two and that resulted in Rosaria Cocina Mexicana Amsterdam.
Nina is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, the rest of the week you can enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. O! And on Saturday and Sunday you can join us for lunch. We did that and we have to say: do it!
