Sweet and adorable, that is the best way to describe the Colombian mountain village of Minca. The village has only 800 inhabitants, with a small community serving fine food and drinks to tourists in about 4 streets. The village is completely surrounded by greenery and has a tropical climate, nice and sunny but also green and humid. Perfect to spend a few days. You can settle down at these spots for something tasty.
At Caficosta you get delicious coffee, strong, spicy; so perfect to light you up all day long. At Caficosta they also have all modern variants, such as iced coffee. They also have a generator, so if the village runs out of power, you can still come here for your shot. Still good to know, that's what we thought.
The bakery of the village if you ask us. Here they bake the tastiest sourdough breads (yes!) and delicious other delicacies early every morning. Baguette, ciabatta, chocolate rolls, you name it, they have it. A different offer every day, so you can visit every morning.
A lovely hippie tent that looks more like a tree house. Here you can get the tastiest healthy breakfasts, lunches and fine coffee - as well as plenty of shakes, juices and other healthy things. You can sit on the terrace or sit inside at the bar or other seating areas. Please note it is small and therefore fills up quickly.
You will find Amora on the corner of the main street. A lovely spot where you can sit outside and watch people. Healthy things are prepared in the kitchen, such as acai bowl, baguettes with vegetables and hummus and fresh juices.
At the Lazy Cat you are in the right place for a fatty bite. From crispy nachos to greasy burgers. There are also delicious smoothies and tasty cocktails on the menu. If you sit on the back of the terrace you have a good chance of spotting a huge iguana in the tree.
