The profession of Wedding Planner & Stylist always raises many questions. By far the most frequently asked question we receive is: 'Have you ever experienced a bridezilla?' And that answer remains a resounding 'NO'. More about that another time.

The question that comes standard at number 2 is: What was your most beautiful wedding? That feels a bit like choosing between your children. Quite an impossible question. We have been able to fill in so many beautiful elements within weddings! That's why we're taking you through a number of favorites. They come.

In terms of styling, we were able to experience many ceremony backdrop highlights. We hung the backdrop of backdrops at a height of 7 meters, risking our own lives. Still a favorite on many mood boards of our bridal couples.

It is nice to say that it is always a matter of looking at what we find on location and how we can make the most of it. In this case we really wanted to take advantage of that impressive height, but there was no hanging option. We persevered and still found a way. That made the location so much more beautiful! And the bridal couple came in, moved; BAM, she's happy; we are happy!

The Drink

The Drink

Or the time we took a large group of American guests across the Amsterdam canals in several boats after the ceremony of a couple from New York. Along the way we 'coincidentally' came across the cater boat that very casually visited all the boats with snacks and of course 'bitterballs'. The bridal couple hopped from boat to boat and it was one big party!

This all seems very easy and smooth, but there was so much timing behind it. It's fantastic when everything runs smoothly and guests have a great experience!

The dinner

The dinner

Ooh, and then dinner in the woods at long winding tables on the hottest day of last summer. Besides the fact that we always wanted to put up this picture, it was it is really necessary. Because, it was 'Really In The Forest'. So just find a flat and straight area where a long table can fit. Exactly, there isn't; so we had to squirm.

What no one sees in all those beautiful images is how our team crosses through the forest in 35 degrees with wheelbarrows with material to put everything on there. No matter how clumsy; we went for it, because it had to be in that perfect spot. And what was it worth, it was truly magical!

The party

The party

So many great parties, so many shots, so many great bands, DJs, so many gin and tonics and so many complete families on the dance floor. I think about what the bride and groom said 'no, it doesn't really have to be a dance party', and with their intimate group of guests perhaps partied the hardest that season.  I think of the party we opened with a parade of crazy animals that suddenly came in and, accompanied by drums, threw the entire after-dinner dip out of the room... That went really well!

The Location
What really sticks in our memory in terms of location is the backyard (e.g. estate) of the groom's mother. After the bridal couple had many doubts between a luxury hotel or Glamping in the garden, we were able to convince them of the added value of the experience that we could build for them 'from scratch'.

It turned out to be a Weekend Glamping Wedding that we still can't believe actually happened.

From bellboys who prepared the guests' suitcases in the right tents, to tut tents, jacuzzis, and a star dinner in a greenhouse. The highlight was an intimate ceremony under the large chestnut tree where the groom played as a child! (Photo credit: Raisa Zwart)
