No tea from a bag, although there is not always anything wrong with that, but this time we are going completely different than usual. Fresh, homemade tea without added substances, preservatives or colorings. Ha! And, also in perfect condition for people who want to try something different or are just looking for some (Barts Stay Inside) inspiration. With dried tea leaves, herbs, spices and fruit you can create a mini tea party without any effort. Okay, that may sound a bit silly because: tea. Beats. Tea originates from China and has been consumed for thousands of years. In the Western world, tea is divided into two groups. Group one: tea made from leaves of the tea plant and group two is herbal tea.
Tea made from leaves of the tea plant: Camellia Sinensis, this is used for regular tea. Many people don't think of this tea as an herb, but it is.
Herbal tea: made by steeping fresh or dried leaves, herbs, flowers, berries, seeds, roots, rhizomes or tree bark in hot water. This tea does not contain caffeine.
For one cup: steep for three minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon green tea or 1 tea bag
- Handful of dry mint
- Handful of dry lemon verbena
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon honey, to sweeten the tea (if you like)
This is how you make it:
Pour 250 ml boiling water over the first four ingredients and let it steep for 3 minutes. Pour the mixture through a sieve into a glass, add the honey, if you like. Just stir and you're done.

Ingredients:
- 2,5 cm ginger, peeled and thinly sliced

This is how you make it:
Place the ginger, lavender, cardamom in a teapot and pour 250 ml of boiling water over it. Let this steep for five minutes. Pour through a sieve into your glass, stir in the honey and ready.

Ingredients:
- Two tablespoons of fresh mint leaves
- Two tablespoons of fresh lemon balm leaves
- One teaspoon of caraway seeds, lightly crushed
- One teaspoon of fennel seeds, lightly bruised
This is how you make it:
Place all ingredients in a teapot and pour 500 ml of boiling water over it. Let this steep for five minutes. Strain through a sieve. Drink a quarter glass of this tea 3-4 times a day.

Ingredients:
- Two tablespoons of maca powder
- One tablespoon of pecan nuts
- One teaspoon of honey
This is how you make it:
Place the maca powder and pecan nuts in the blender with 250 ml of cold water and puree until it becomes a whole glass. Pour everything into a pan and add the honey and slowly bring to the boil and let it simmer gently for 15 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat and pour it through a sieve. Drink half a glass of this warm, beneficial tea every four hours.
