Nobody's Wife: this music will get you through Valentine's Day
I'm nobody's wife, I can buy my own flowers en who runs the world. That's right, enough lyrics to tell you what we really think about Valentine's Day. Of course that pink cloud with your free-range, quail, prela or rela is fantastic, but we prefer to use all that fuss around Valentine's Day for something else. We would much rather give our own ego a boost on February 14.
So don't spend the whole day looking at all those sappy photos on your screen or chatting on the street, but educate yourself number one and let the rest pass you by. Because wherever you hide that day from all the (happy) couples; music gets you through the day. Speakers on, the stations of Sonos radio op repeat, add a bottle of wine, dance around the room and voilà, Be your own Valentine with these playlists and songs.
Before you dive into this list (sorry, we're almost throwing the tips to get through the day at you), it's good to know what Sonos Radio actually is. Sonos Radio is a free service from Sonos itself. Happy single, because Love Stinks! This station is for everyone who realizes that love overrated is, your heart has just been broken in a (painful) way or for those who don't know what they feel. Don't panic, you are not alone and the greatest artists in vintage soul, modern pop and classic country remind you of that. Because when are the best songs written? Right, in the well-known break-ups phase.
This wonderful theme station Love Stinks from Sonos Radio can be found for free in the app and is full of good old songs such as Since U Been Gone en Love Yourself.
Love journey? Nah, we'd much rather travel to the Wild West. Team Bart does well on country songs, so our biggest Valentine's Day gift? Sonos collected the best country love songs from the '60s to the present Country Valentine station. Thank you Sonos.
When You Say Nothing at All through the speaker, the winter BBQ is on and the day is over before you know it.
