meat and beer, yes, but still, it is possible: 3x vegetarian in Prague

You could do it here already read, Prague is the city of meat and beer. The first one is presented to you in enormous quantities and for one pivo'tje more or less, the average Czech doesn't turn a blind eye. So if you are vegan or vegetarian, it might be better to book another city trip. Or not? Because lately you have also found more and more vegetarian options in Prague. We have listed the best ones.

Mistral Café

Mistral Café

In Old Town, the old part of Prague, lies Mistral Café. With its white plastered walls and light, wooden tables, this place has a very Scandinavian feel. The interior is spacious, fresh and modern with an industrial touch and lots of greenery. There is a houseplant in every corner! At Mistral Café you sit among local students or office staff who pop in for lunch. And the little ones were also taken into account. The owners' daughter designed a cozy play corner for them, including a large world map on the wall. This way you can enjoy that delicious (veggie) burger, tofu curry or avocado toast in peace, while the kids enjoy the play corner. The menu includes options for meat lovers, as well as... vega(n) lover. That's all it should be, right?!

Mistral Café – Valentinska 11, 110 00 Old Town – Open from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 23:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 23:00 – www.mistralcafe.cz

Sweet & Pepper Days

Sweet & Pepper Days

Also Scandinavian and also a wonderful place is Sweet & Pepper Days. This bistro is located in Nusle (aka Downtown Prague), but if you happen to be in the area around dinner time, be sure to pop in for the all-day brunch. Salt & Pepper Days is a family business and you immediately feel that. No forced hipster situations here, but a relaxed atmosphere and delicious, home-made dishes, including many vegan and vegetarian options. Think: Mexican breakfast bowls, vegetarian stews, hummus wraps and more. The interior is a mix of vintage and Scandinavian with “All from one family” in white neon letters on the wall. Fun, more fun, most fun!
