W Dubai Mina Seyahi
An adults-only, beautiful hotel just south of the trunk of the Palm: W Dubai Mina Seyahi. The hotel is large and high (because Dubai), but inside it doesn't feel that way at all. More boutique hotel vibes, we thought, even a bit cozy. Especially when you walk into the lobby: soft sofas, eclectic prints, a flying carpet artwork that drapes from the ceiling to the wall; everything was great upon arrival. And the rooms, oh man, wonderfully decorated with the busy city and flashing lights in the background. W Dubai Mina Seyahi is highly recommended for more reasons than just its central location and inspiring interior.
A tip of the veil: breakfast. Fantastic, from healthy superfood salads and fresh juices to a Full English breakfast and, and, and: Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. Inclusive. Every day. Bam.
Fan of W Dubai Mina Seyahi, so what else do they have? A swimming pool, with an edge where you can lean on in a very Instagrammable way and gaze into the distance, one of those. And also with seats in the water, at the bar. Mina Seyahi is also on the beach, so you could also use that (but the beach has no bar, just saying). If you stay at Mina Seyahi, you can also use the beaches and swimming pools of neighboring hotels Le Méridien and Westin.
You will also find a rooftop bar, Attiko. Here you can have a drink and order small bites until the late hours. The music is a bit louder, the view is mega (but when in Dubai you get used to that a bit). If you want to have a quiet drink, you can do so downstairs Pool Bar. If you have to do some typing for work, Ginger Moon is a nice place: cool Bali vibes, with a Middle Eastern touch.
Mina Seyahi has no fewer than 318 rooms, including 27 suites, and yes: the more luxurious you go, the less you want to leave your room. Eight different flavors, and all rooms are correct down to the last detail. The rooms are separate (large bathrooms, a balcony with a view of the Marina and your sleeping/living area), your closets are sweetly concealed behind a voile curtain and you have your own bar in each room. Not the small refrigerator you might be used to, but with a pull-out drawer, with shakers and ice cubes and nice glasses. Coffee and tea making facilities (included) are also available and are replenished every morning.
