Mexico City on the schedule? You shouldn't miss these hotspots in CDMX (Mexico City)

CDMX, that's Mexico City in cool language, may not be the first city you think of visiting when you go to Mexico, but think twice, because this city is hot & happening and the hotspots are endless.

Mexico City is a city of great contrasts and not a city to wander around without a plan, but the Polanco, Roma, Condesa and Santa Fé neighborhoods are so much fun that you don't need more to satisfy your culinary and fashion cravings.

Blanco Colima, Roma Norte, Mexico City

Blanco Colima, Roma Norte, Mexico City

In Roma Norte Colima White you will find the amazing restaurant Colima White. Located in a stunning historic building, the seating both indoors and outdoors is a feast for the eyes. The food is delicious – be sure to try the huitlacoche fondue and the morel mushroom risotto. The audience is always stylish and creates a wonderful vibe.

Nueve Nueve, Roma Norte, Mexico City

Another gem in Roma Norte: Nueve Nueve. This restaurant falls under the same group as Nobu and Negroni, among others. The tacos here are excellent and the service is fantastic. You completely forget that you are in a busy city because of the beautiful garden that borders the terrace. The monumental building alone is a reason to take some time to look around and don't forget to visit the art gallery adjacent to the restaurant.

Rome-Countess

There are so many nice boutiques in Roma-Condesa, concept stores and jewelry shops to discover that you won't get bored of. From the famous Mexican designer Carla Fernández, to art and design at Chic by Accident Gallery, and Casa Bosques full of truly special books and magazines about design and architecture. You will find it all in Roma-Condesa.

Restaurant Mandolina, Polanco, Mexico City

Restaurant Mandolina, Polanco, Mexico City

Restaurant Mandolina is located in the chic Polanco district. I am really in love with this neighborhood, because you can walk around here, chill in the park (with a large, enclosed playground for the children) and find new, nice boutiques and restaurants everywhere. Back to Mandolina, where we come back again and again for the fantastic Coles de Brusalas (i.e Brussels sprouts salad). Mandolina has an Italian menu and be sure to order as many dishes as possible to share. Also the interior with a ceiling full of lemons, which you also see on the crockery and napkins (love it), is a real one moodbooster.

Restaurant Taboo, Polanco, Mexico City

Also in Polanco Restaurant Taboo. This picture of a restaurant serves Mexican food with a Mediterranean twist and the fish here is something to write home about. The service is very good and the vibe in this restaurant is amazing. In any case, Mexican hospitality is something we can really learn something from!

Ryoshi Masaryk, Polanco, Mexico City

Ryoshi Masaryk, Polanco, Mexico City

If we are somewhere longer, you can set the clock for it: fancy sushi! And that's what's so nice about Mexico City, in addition to the delicious local cuisine, there are a lot of really good international restaurants. So if you fancy sushi, 1 tip: ryoshi masaryk. Here you can eat the tastiest sushi, sashimi, wagyu and not to forget desserts (!). You will often think about that when you get back home. And all this in a dazzling atmosphere with unprecedented good service.

Tori Tori, Polanco, Mexico City

Another tip if you fancy Japanese cuisine: Tori Tori. In addition to a restaurant in Polanco, they also have a restaurant in Santa Fé. We like to come here with our children. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Santa Fe it is business district in Mexico City and therefore a place you may not easily visit, but there are a surprising number of nice things to find here. Including my favorite coffee shop: Flora Caffe and a few doors next door boutique Canamiel (many nice items from young Mexican designers).

Parque La Mexicana, Santa Fe, Mexico City

Parque La Mexicana, Santa Fe, Mexico City

Another great reason to go to Santa Fé: La Mexicana Park. A large park between the skyscrapers and a real relief if you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city. You can enjoy lovely walks here, the children can play endlessly in the large playground and there is also plenty of room for games of football. There is WiFi in the park and there are numerous restaurants where you can eat and drink. Don't forget to drop by Churrería El Moro to go, yes you read that right! A Churrería as in everything churros. Here they sell the tastiest sandwich, the Churro y helado, which is like a scoop of ice cream between a churros sandwich. Omg, I still think about this a lot.

Santa Fe Mall (Centro Commercial), Santa Fe, Mexico City

Santa Fe Mall (Centro Commercial), Santa Fe, Mexico City

If you're in Santa Fé, be sure to grab one the Santa Fe Mall (Centro Commercial) along. You can spend more than a day here. In addition to just about all the shops you can think of, there is also plenty of entertainment for the kids. KidZania is here (they never want to leave) and at the bottom of the mall there are all kinds of play areas for young and old. I call that win-win. Another surprisingly nice mall (and a lot clearer). Forest Arches Walk. Don't come if you don't know. In addition to many shops, you will find (especially on the bottom floor) many nice restaurants, including Green Republic; a healthy market for when you're done with all the high-calorie food. Here you will also find Puerto Madero (for the best Argentinian steaks), Costa Guadiana (good Mexican food in a nice atmosphere), Negroni (Pasta Negroni por todo por favor) and Nobu (always chic, always good).

Restaurant Zanaya (Four Seasons Hotel)

One last tip that I don't want to withhold from you: Restaurant Zanaya, the terrace of the Four Seasons Hotel. Lovely place for a long lunch in the sun. The hotel boutique adjacent to the terrace is also a gem for special jewelry from Mexican designers.
