ADAM & EVE Paleisstraat, The Hague

On Paleisstraat in the center of The Hague, a stone's throw from the Royal Palace Noordeinde, is located boutique hotel Adam & EveThe property is part of the ADAM+EVE hospitality concept, which focuses on stays in monumental buildings with an urban, contemporary interpretation. Aha. Part of a chain, then, but make no mistake: Adam & Eve is anything but impersonal. That is thanks in particular to the excellent restaurant:  restaurant EVE by Erik van Loo, located in the heart of the building. Van Loo is a well-known name: he heads, among other things, Restaurant Parkheuvel in Rotterdam. And the location is also telling: Paleisstraat is one of the more representative streets of the capital, with the government quarter and the historic city center right on the doorstep.

The hotel has ten rooms, keeping it small-scale and personal. Room types range from a Deluxe King Room to a more spacious studio. The studios have a dining area and are furnished like a private apartment, but with hotel service.
An essential part of the hotel is the restaurant EVE by Erik van Loo, located in the heart of the building. Van Loo is a well-known name: he heads, among other things, Restaurant Parkheuvel in Rotterdam, which has held a Michelin star for years. Craftsmanship takes center stage here, without the emphasis on trends or spectacular presentations. Hotel guests can also have breakfast there: sometimes à la carte, other times from an extensive buffet.
