New restaurants in Amsterdam: This is the Barts Boekje list

Look, this is one of those lists that you always want to have at hand. The Barts Boekje list with new restaurants in Amsterdam. Ha! Always useful if you are looking for news and actually have no idea yet what to do The choice is huge. As said: here is a (laundry) list new restaurants in Amsterdam which we think are not to be missed. Save them all.

Our best Amsterdam tips? We tell you about them in our Amsterdam guide!

What's new(s)

The city is at its most beautiful in spring and summer anyway, but what might be even more fun: an Amsterdam pop-up at 'Amsterdam Beach' in other words, Zandvoort. Petit Pêche, the little sister of our favorite Café Beurre, settles down at Outpost on the south beach on weekends. Tables practically in the sand, torches, natural wines and a finger-licking good set menu, this is one of the best summer lunch and dinner experiences of the yearYou can join us from Wednesday to Saturday. And then there is also the Sunday 'Summer Series': a different guest chef from Amsterdam every week. For June include Bottleshop, Bon Burger and Trees on the agenda. Keep an eye on their socials for more news.

We do not know if the news was allowed to be released yet. because it is no longer in the published interview of Entrance Magazine maar we were fast enough to read that Eurosoft, the coffee/bakery and lunchroom spot of Euroworld (with also Euro Pizza en Restaurant Europe), is going to open a second branch on Waterlooplein.

That's the latest hottest Amsterdam hospitality news, scroll down for that laundry list of new Amsterdam...

The hottest openings of the past six months

The hottest openings of the past six months

There are those newcomers we look forward to eagerly for months, and there are those spots that blew us away so much that we returned not once, not twice, but sometimes three times (in a single month). In short, our absolute 'yes' addresses of the past six months deserve a separate spot on this delightful list:
  • Vermouth: hot spot for drinks in Amsterdam-West
  • friend: unpretentious French cuisine in the heart of the city center.
  • Weinlokal SternGerman classics steal the show here and earned a 9 from Mara Grimm for good reason.
  • Furthermore, we think that Vita Lente, Café Susy, The Blue Tit, Café Kompleet, Café Publiek en Bon Burgerbar North allowed (again) on your radar.
  • Eatery Van Beeren: great value for money with a lovely courtyard.
  • Tacit: high-end dining in Oud-Zuid
  • Amsterdam Bouillon Number 2: oeufs mayo, steak frites, and a bottle of wine for a low price, now also in De Pijp. Smaller place than opening (still hot news at Magna Plaza) number 1, but this time *with* a terrace!
  • The Broeker House It's not new, but it is on the radar. Nice and old-school, and great value for a bargain.

Coming soon ...

Coming soon ...

Angelo – you know, the chef and owner of Gitane and Massalia – is opening no fewer than two new establishments this year. Vin Fou, a small restaurant with a French soul where you from September can just drop by and Parea, an contemporary stick bar in De Pijp, where you from November can join us. Can't wait!

Restaurant Motief It is becoming the culinary showpiece at Van Gendt Hallen in Oostenburg – and with a former chef from De Kas at the helm, that surely promises great things.

Opening a bar with 13 friends sounds like pure fun. We can't wait for the doors to open Bar Kaat.

Naturally, Sidney Schutte resurfaces after Spectrum with a new hospitality concept. After years of cooking up a storm, he returns in September with The Gym – in, yes indeed, favorite The College Hotel.

The makers of Europizza, Restaurant Europa, and Benelux Bar are opening a second location this year. Eurosoft on Waterlooplein.

Favorite Toscanini is getting a sister on the same street, a few doors down. Capri Enoteca is the name, features a menu with Italian influences, and opens in September. Can't wait! We are waiting for september 2026, Then they open.

A new restaurant from the 212 Group is always good news! In the summer of 2026 opens Kama Handroll Bar in Amsterdam, on Utrechtsestraat to be precise.

Café Conrad

Café Conrad

In a cozy and quiet side street of the Overtoom, nestled among the trees and just around the corner from Vondelpark, you'll find Café Conrad, a charming neighborhood café. The corner building itself is a beauty: arched windows from top to bottom, cheerful flowers adorning the window frames. During the sunny months, colorful retro chairs adorn the terrace, and the charming retro style continues inside with old Dutch white furniture, vintage wooden bar stools, cast iron lamps, and, of course, the games cabinet.

The menu offers a taste of local dedication during coffee, breakfast, drinks, or dinner. The menu isn't overly elaborate, but it's good and full of character. Various homemade dishes are available. pies, fresh sourdough bread with jam from the neighbor or soup What's the day's theme? Moritz, the owner, sources everything he serves locally, perfectly embodying the motto "From the neighbors, for the neighbors." The atmosphere? Relaxed enough to crack open a book, just as cozy for a game with friends, or a candlelit dinner. A truly relaxed, homey atmosphere, where you're always welcome, whether for a quick coffee or simply to enjoy the entire evening.
