Hot off the press: Restaurant Toscanini is getting a little sister!
Restaurant ToscaniniWho doesn't know it? And if not: it really is one of Amsterdam's most beloved Italian restaurants. For forty years, the address in the Jordaan has been the place for our dose of Italy. Anyone who has ever tried to snag a last-minute table knows that it is usually a hopeless mission. So, good news: Toscanini is getting a little sister.
The name? Capri. A restaurant with its own unique character, yet sharing the same love for Italian cuisine. Expect good wines and, of course, pasta, because without pasta, there would be no restaurant by (co-)owner Leonardo Pacenti. The menu also features charcuterie, cheeses, homemade sausages, and other Italian classics that will make your mouth water.
Capri is opening at number 63 on Westerstraat. The name was retained from the building's previous occupants, serving as a nod to the location's history. So, just a little more patience. If all goes well, you can take a seat here starting in September.
