Another 'don't tell anyone' address in French nature: Coco Barn Wood Lodge, Angresse
In Angresse in south-west France, almost close to the Spanish border, we discovered a new dream spot where it is the best retreat. For two people, but certainly also for those traveling with little ones!
Together, Corenthine and Antoine are at the helm of their Coco Barn Wood Lodge in France. Corenthine (beautiful name, beautiful person) loves horses, so they are there too, and there is even a place to stable your own, if you happen to have a horse in your pocket, or have come that way (although we respect the chance small). This also means that rides can be made on the back of the animals. It is the perfect place for that, between all the forest, meadows and the river. Not a fan of bouncing on the backs of noble animals? Then you can - in addition to the usual walking and cycling - play paintball, para-gliding and do just about any water sport right up to the horizon. Village festivals and markets are regularly organized in the area. It's fun. And very French too. It is clear that this is especially fun for children who are a bit older, otherwise they just stand there and watch it.
There are several sleeping quarters at a reasonable distance from each other. This way you can sleep in a bamboo house with an atmosphere that will certainly warm your heart. You look out over the vegetable garden and beyond that you only see fields as far as the eye can see. If you feel like taking up a new hobby, Antoine can teach you how to make a surfboard. After all, you never know when that knowledge will come in handy. They are busy bees, and a top team. Getting bored here is next to impossible.
