5x nicest bakers in Brussels (that you don't want to miss)

You have been warned. Your mouth will water. If you didn't already know they are in Brussels were good at baking, then you know now. So there's no reason not to start your day extra early (ahead of the crowd) and... on the go to stop at a nice bakery for a nice loaf of bread, a good cruffin (you know, between a muffin and a croissant) or more of that kind. Read on!

Boulangerie Pinpin

Boulangerie Pinpin

Hot off the press and immediately hot and happening. This Boulangerie Pinpin. Considering the funny name, we think it's nice and cozy. At Pinpin you can expect nothing more and nothing less than top quality breads, the tastiest crunchy croissants and as they say: everything with BUTTER. Butter butter butter. Besides these delights, there is more reason to go. They have a Cave de Naturelles. You guessed it – this is also the right place for your bottle of natural wine to take home.

Renard Bakery

Renard Bakery

You definitely want to stop at Renard Bakery. The building consists of two 'parts': the shop and a studio, as they like to call the location of the ovens and work tables.

Not only do you go to Renard for bread and bread-like baked goods, you also stop at Place Fernand Cocq for the perfect pastry, cake or cookie.

What more could you want when cakes like Croûte Cappuccino (chocolate cappuccino cake) or croissants with cream and strawberry filling are on the menu?

You know where to find us.

Aube Bakery & Coffee

Aube Bakery & Coffee

Can we call this a unique pearl of its kind? Still nice and undiscovered, on the edge of the center of Brussels. You will find Aube in the south of the city.

Aube is a perfect mix of industrial done well. Not too shabby but not chic either. You can count on a line in front of the store. And the terrace (provided the sun is shining) is always pleasantly busy.

Before Aube was a given, a crowdfunding campaign was set up by 3 ambitious people to get the business started and renovate the building (so that it became beautiful). Successful. Judge for yourself. Also a delight for the early birds, because they are open from 8 am - even on weekends.

Bread Boulangerie

Bread Boulangerie

The female bakers of the tastiest sourdough breads are quite rare. That's why it's extra nice that Brood owner Stephanie is fermenting and baking 24/7 every day (as she says).

From laminated croissants to sweet brioche. From whole wheat sourdough breads to a curled, round croissant with butter caramel and caramelized peanuts. Didn't we say it would make your mouth water?

Also nice: Brood supplies a lot of bread to restaurants in the area. So there is a good chance that when you order bread and butter in advance, you will be served a real bread from Stephanie.

Boulengier

Boulengier

Perhaps the nicest thing about a fine bakery is being able to look inside. Well, if you stand in line at Boulengier you get a glimpse into the kitchen. The building already looks cozy with neo lamps where the name of the business shines. Hip and classy and the pastries are true works of art.

They also use seasonal fruit. Such as rhubarb tarts, which are easy to get. Would you like to get a quick sandwich to eat straight away? Boulengier got you covered. You can then enter the pleasant Sint Gillis district.
