Bart Bouwt: the trend we (all?) want in our homes: pampas grass

Pampas! That's the name of those waving stems you see everywhere lately. Those fluffy, wavy, cuddly, velvety soft pastel pink grass stems. We just search and gamble and guess how we could get those bitches... It turns out: as long as you know the right name, you will find them. Although... The offer is quite the 'wheat from the chaff' (we ordered the pampas cuties before via Alibaba, you know, those cheap ass order shop, but they were just not there. Don't burn your fingers on that, but take advantage of the Pampas list below!

No, we are completely, absolutely, not at all, not at all concerned about the very latest trends. Go away. No, our Bart Bouwt inspiration, the do's and don'ts that we want to apply to our own home, are preferably timeless and we have learned them during our travels. Lucky us.

But sometimes... Sometimes one comes along that we often spot and don't want to ignore. A trend that, in our opinion, turns out to be a timeless classic. A keeper. This is also the story with the soft pink pampas branches. You can actually decorate everything with it and immediately turn a boring corner in the house into an eye-catcher (the bigger the better!). Oh, and it's 1000% the ultimate styling material for your romantic boho wedding or your 'look at us unpacking' home dinner.

You place the branches, preferably large (the credo is to unwrap them nicely), how easily, without water, in a beautiful vase. Pampas looks especially beautiful in an interior with mainly natural tones, but if your house is a color bomb (nice!), then pampas will bring exactly the peace you were looking for.

Just… where do we get them? We have a rotten face. Interior winkels, garden centres... But we have not yet been able to find a permanent and good physical address. Although… We recently cycled (at a very fast pace) along the De Clerqstraat in Amsterdam and then spotted a few pink variants out of the corner of our eye, but did not see the name of the store (and no time to go back – only human). So: who knows, please tell us! But ordering online is, as always, the credo: you will find the branches in abundance Etsy en Aliexpress. (just ordered, we'll let you know which ones are the best!).

There are also a few Dutch websites that sell it. For example, look up Tuinplant.nl, GroeneParadis.nl of op Bakker.com.

Did you know that there are entire Pampas clubs? So we have been following the food for a while now Pampas People, LA based (of course we almost say). They also have an Etsy shop (but remember the import duties! You'd rather look for something European).

We learned from the Pampas People that pampas grass really doesn't need water. With the H2O on your handsome stems. And how to use the grasses most beautifully in your own home, at your own party and what a 'pampas wondferland is'. See for yourself 😉
