Boutique Cottage De Fazant, Zuidzande (near Knokke and Cadzand)

Beautiful and well organised, down to the last detail, with hours of sunshine and plenty of fun nearby. We are talking about Boutique Cottage De Fazant in Zuidzande in the southernmost part of Zeeland (West Zeeland Flanders for the connoisseur). Near the beach, in nature and around the corner from pleasant places such as Knokke and Cadzand with plenty of peace and space at the cottage itself.

Everything has been thought of. Upon arrival, Angélique has provided some local treats: homemade jam from the lady of Zoete Polder in Knokke, a nice bottle of wine, homemade apple juice made by the children from the farm across the road, and delicious Zeeland chocolates. When the weather is nice, all the cushions are already on the lounge set and you can sink right in. If the sun isn't shining for a day, the fireplace inside is blazing. Love for the surroundings and the craft truly radiates from every angle. It can accommodate six people (fewer is also fine), and it is the finest place to cook, have drinks, play games, explore the neighborhood, or do whatever else you want to do on your vacation. Rooms

At De Fazant, you have three spacious rooms for a trip with a nice group. Downstairs, there is a room with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. Throw open the doors and you walk straight onto your terrace. Upstairs, you will find the two other bedrooms: one with a large double bed and the 'children's room'. The latter contains two single beds that are large enough for adults; there is absolutely nothing childish about the 'children's room'.

The minimum stay is three nights, and during the high season (July/August), De Fazant is actually only rented out by the week. Be sure to also take a look at the Instagram (@boutiquecottagedefazant) to really get into the mood.

Location, location, location

The eye wants something too

As beautiful as the nature around you is, it is just as beautiful on the inside. The kitchen has everything for a good meal of cooking: oak cabinets and drawers and a beautiful concrete ciré top. The decor is modern and rural industrial. Steel frame doors open to your own terrace, rough carpets that match the cozy fireplace and thick plaids in natural tones to snuggle up under. Light flows in through all windows and doors (so you have a view of the polder from almost every place in the cottage). Games? They also have them and the large dining table is ideal for setting aside an evening for that. Outside, the sun and the view steal the show. It's nice to relax under the large parasol when the sun shines a little too bright. Or cool off under the outdoor shower, also a good idea.

Keffers & Kroost

Have you seen how handsome it is inside? Right, those pets with muddy paws have no business there. Children can (provided they leave those muddy shoes outside of course). There is room for a cot in the two rooms with double beds. The third bedroom has two single beds where the kids can have a good time.
