Kimpton de Witt, Amsterdam - Barts Boekje

Hands together for Kimpton de Witt, because you are in a real oasis of peace in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city.

Totally in the center, completely boutique (really the new credo) and simply the perfect base to discover the city.
Strolling along the charming canals (or through them - exploring the city by boat is still the most fun), experiencing art and culture, walking past the boutique shops, cycling (which you can borrow for free!) through narrow alleys, but above all discovering new places. Yes, the nine streets are fun, but also walk further, cycle around and get lost on purpose. This way you get to know an Amsterdam that you have never seen before and you know that at the end of your day you will return home to your elegant suite with truly Dutch details. Hands together for Kimpton de Witt, because you are in a real oasis of peace in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. A nice place to recover from a day out. One of those where nothing is necessary, but everything is possible. And we like that.

It's even better Wine Hour. Sounds like music to your ears, but it gets even better: every day Kimpton de Witt hosts a Wine Hour, where you can taste wine (duh), Dedicated meet wine lovers and makers. Wine Hour has gone beyond just wine. Also consider tastings from local craft brews to spa services and musical performances. And this is the day!

Location, Location, Location

Kimpton de Witt is located in the heart of Amsterdam on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal - five minutes in one direction you walk towards the Jordaan, five minutes in the other direction you are in the old center (aka the Red Light District) and you will be at the center in no time. Kadijksplein with numerous terraces, brown bars and new trendy tents. The Central Station and the Basilica of Saint Nicholas are within walking distance and you can reach the Rokin and Dam Square within a few triple jumps. You can almost see the ferry to North from your room, so yes, it really doesn't get much more central.

The eye wants something too

Kimpton de Witt has a fresh, stylish and luxurious look. The rooms are, as it were, a kind of tribute to the rich Dutch artistic past and atmospheres of the moment. Kimpton de Witt pays tribute to traditional Delft blue with bright blue and emerald green elements in the rooms. The basic colors are subdued - white, cream, dark natural colors, which makes the Delft blue stand out even more. It has a modern design, while some parts of the hotel are housed in a seventeenth-century building: chapeau to the interior stylist! A touch of minimalism, artisanal details and refined design is the way to go and the folks at Kimpton de Witt got that exactly right.

Keffers & Kroost

Hooray, the kids are very welcome in the hotel. Double celebration, because our dear four-legged friends are also allowed to come along and that makes a week(end) quite enjoyable. There is plenty to do/see/undertake with the kids in the area (pancakes, anyone?), but there is a little less for the dogs in the area. That said, the Westerpark is really close enough for an afternoon of running and romping without having to put in a lot of effort.
