Restaurant Jansz. Amsterdam is a great place to enjoy Dutch cuisine on the terrace all day long

Amsterdam's Pulitzer Hotel—you know, once (long, long ago) the somewhat dusty hotel on Prinsengracht, just around the corner from Rozengracht—has a restaurant scene that's absolutely top-notch. We're big fans of the Pulitzer Bar (a wonderful, slightly darkly chic bar), the enormous courtyard garden (a hidden gem, always, but especially in the summer months, although: the Christmas tree is a feast every year), the bright restaurant adjacent to the garden, Pulitzer Garden, and above all, Restaurant Jansz., where you can enjoy a wonderful evening even without hotel associations. And those evenings are even more enjoyable in the summer on one of the three terraces.

So hop onto that terrace for all-day dining with dishes inspired by contemporary Dutch cuisine. And don't forget the Rosé Garden not with a specially composed menu of rosé wines and al fresco dishes of the season.

Restaurant Jansz. in Amsterdam? We'd love for it to stay forever. In the summer, you'll always find us in the garden, known as the Rosé Garden, where a specially curated menu awaits, featuring rosé wines and seasonal dishes served al fresco. Think: lavender in the air, pastel hues all around, and a table laden with summer delicacies. Rosé all day, every day, The garden is open daily for lunch and dinner. It's also a pleasant place to relax outside. On the sunny terraces along Keizersgracht and in the bustling Reestraat, you can relax in one of the comfortable seats. With a good glass of wine, a refreshing cocktail, and refined seasonal snacks, the city feels like a vacation.

Nice and local

Nice and local

We say go! Nearly all ingredients are locally sourced, and all dishes are prepared with seasonal vegetables. That's why, each season, they explore local produce (and therefore grow it). Of course, Amsterdam gherkins are a must. Fun! And above all, delicious. Besides the international guests who frequent restaurant Jansz. (because Hallo Hotel Pulitzer), the restaurateurs are equally focused on serving the Jansz. neighborhood. They achieve this with an accessible yet refined menu that changes regularly, allowing Chef Jeroen's team to offer both Amsterdammers and international guests a surprisingly delicious Dutch evening.

The building, the interior and the entrance remain a feast for the eyes. Entering the old pharmacy immediately gives you the feeling of being away for an evening or afternoon. The classic elements with fresh modern furniture immediately give you the necessary happy vibes. Can't help it! If you go and think… What to order? Whatever you do, Leave room for dessert. Besides the delicious food (the fish dishes were truly delicious), you definitely have to leave room for dessert – thank us later.

Family sundays

Every last Sunday of the month it's a real party from 12:00 to 16:00. Then the afternoon is completely dedicated to the children during the Family Sundays. Fast service, an extensive children's menu and a play area with nannies who supervise. Hoppa.
