Affordable hotels in London
What are we really crazy about? London. We really enjoy the nice atmosphere, the British accent and the friendly people. The most charming neighborhood? Notting Hill, colorful, beautiful and romantic. Or would you like to go shopping? Covent Garden is your go-to with its cozy, winding streets with the most beautiful shops. Not only can the shops in London be expensive, but (unfortunately) so can hotel stays. After such a long day of spending money on affordable hotels? We have selected them for you. Let's go.
The overnight stay is there, but where are you going? We also have a very good (if we say so ourselves) ebook about london.
We've mentioned it before, but it remains one of our favorites: It Half Moon Hotel. What matters most is that it is affordable. We love that but besides the price it also looks beautiful. And the eye certainly wants something too. You can be right in the center in less than 34 minutes for only €157 per night.
This beautiful venue was first built in 1931 and has undergone a complete renovation. It's back! You can reach the center in less than fifteen minutes from the London Eye. TheBedford has a pub, club, restaurant, live music and entertainment facilities as well as fifteen boutique bedrooms. Enough choice to entertain you for an evening.
The Buxton is located right in the heart of 'Hip' London. With a 360-degree view of the East End you will never be bored. They have small, pleasant hotel rooms to stay in, and a top place to eat: the bistro. A modern pub serving seasonal dishes that are both British and European inspired. Be aware; There is no elevator in the hotel, so if you have to go up several floors it is a job.
Located in a former textile factory in London New Road Hotel, where the rooms have also been given this look. A modern hotel with all amenities, with free hot drinks on every floor, a king-size bed and a social room where you can play pool or game. You can walk across the Tower of Bridge in less than ten minutes. In the hotel you will also find White's English Chophouse, managed by star chef Marco Pierre White, where you can enjoy dinner. Would you rather get out and about? Walk to the artistic Brick Lane which is full of street art and nice (and cheaper) restaurants.
We also have a great deal for shopping enthusiasts. It Moxy London hotel is located around the corner from the largest shopping mall in Europe, Westfield Stratford City. An animal-friendly hotel with a relaxed lounge, compact rooms, ''Plug and Meet'' communal rooms and a warm welcome with a welcome drink upon arrival. Had a long evening, but still fancy snacks and a drink? There is a grab-and-go bar 24/7 or ask the bartender for a cocktail.
Located near Hyde Park Inhabit Southwick Street which was completely renovated in 2019. A sustainable hotel that focuses entirely on optimizing well-being, with an eye to making the world just a little bit better. The hotel has a library, a gym, a café and you can treat yourself after a long day in the wellness area. That's lucky!
A place made for peace, convenience, your own pace and comfort. The Pilgrm hotel is known for bringing forgotten details back to life. You enter a world where the idea is to take a moment to reflect on the things they have made. In the hotel all rooms are a little different, but all have the same familiar feeling. On your way somewhere? Hop by the bar for one to go coffee (completely organic).
Although London is considered one of the most important cities in the international art scene, there has never been a hotel that specifically focuses on this group. The hotel that The Green Rooms London is located in an art deco building from 1925 that, after a long period of vacancy, was restored to its former glory by a local architectural firm, with all old elements retained or restored. Simple but nice rooms and a very good restaurant.
Located a little further away from the city The Spread Eagle, a traditional British pub with 21 hotel rooms. A warm welcome upon arrival, good beers on tap and delicious food. They have everything a Great British Pub should exude: a bar, tasty cocktails and an inner garden. That's all we need.
Tip from us: there are rugby matches on Sundays, for real rugby fans.
Located on the edge of the center The Corner, London City. Close to the best street food, art galleries, boutiques and the city's nightlife, it is an attractive area. The rooms are based on Cubi's QBIC Pod all-in-one concept with a comfortable bed, private bathroom with rain shower and free organic toiletries. The cheapest on the list: 118 euros for one night.
Do you say affordable? We say the Z Hotels. Z Hotels are spread throughout the city, such as in the Tottenham, City and Shoreditch districts. They are in prime locations, yet without the expensive price tag. Small, cozy rooms with just enough space for two people.
