All six rooms are nicely furnished and have exactly what you need for a good night's sleep and a great start to your holiday.

The villa offers plenty of space for everyone, and each room has its own private entrance. Guests on the ground floor have a private patio, while those on the first floor have a balcony.

From all rooms there is a view of greenery, flowers and in the background the pleasant hum of crickets.

In the shared living room, kitchen, or garden, you can gather, relax, have a drink, and enjoy breakfast. Nothing is required, anything is allowed. There's plenty of space for everyone.

You don't have to talk to Dick or Vanessa for long to discover that surfing is a shared passion that connects many of the guests.

Sounds interesting, but you've never stood on a board yourself? No problem, a surfing lesson can be easily arranged. as you wishThere is plenty to do in the area: rent bikes, take a yoga class, go hiking or go out on the water with a surf or paddle board.

Of course, the villa has a lovely swimming pool with a nice garden to relax in. The perfect place to enjoy your lovingly prepared breakfast (Hello zucchini brownies, organic oat milk, fresh fruit, homemade jam, bread and salty feta rolls) to eat.

Anyway, whoever the environment of Birds of Paradise Anyone who knows a little knows that there is more to experience. Like the beach. An absolute favorite is Arrifana beach: a beautiful beach with laid back surf vibes.Have a drink at the end of the day Ti Raul, holiday feeling guaranteed. Just like in Bali, you're hanging in a net above the cliff, beer in hand, and you don't need much more. Monte Clérigo Beach and the extensive beach Amoreira Beach are definitely worth it.

There is really plenty of choice of nice restaurants in the area. We went for Italian pizza at White art, where you can sit comfortably, both inside and outside. For a lunch with a view, you're in the right place at Beach BarTheir motto “If you're not barefoot, then you're overdressed” That says it all. The village also boasts numerous restaurants, and with the handy map you receive upon arrival, you can easily choose something nice.

Maybe not the hippest or cheapest place, but at O Paulo Enjoy your delicious fish. The view? Something to write home about. O Paulo is located next to the Ruínas da Fortaleza de Arrifana. Not much remains of the 17th-century fort after an earthquake, but it does make for a beautiful picture. As far as we are concerned, a must-see at sunset.
