Always good and attractive: Bistrobar Beaune in Rozendaal, Gelderland
Oh, what a clever place! And right here in Arnhem—or rather, in Rozendaal in Gelderland (a chic village bordering Arnhem). Bistro bar BeauneDoes that name sound familiar? It might. The owners have two other businesses: Bistro bar Berlin and Bistrobar Bankoh, both in Nijmegen. Just as impressive as the other two, but now in Arnhem.
Let's be honest: the experience at this restaurant begins with the welcome. It's personal and welcoming: you're politely escorted to your table (or, on quieter days, you simply choose one yourself). As you walk past the tables, you immediately feel the warm atmosphere and sense the cozy atmosphere created by the dark colors and wooden floor. Think black walls (extended to the ceiling), lighting that's just right – not so dark that you can't see anything, but also without giving you a snack bar feeling – a fireplace and fabric sofas with thick cushions that you'll want to sink into all evening. Classic and daring.
The open kitchen is located in the center of the restaurant, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere. After all, silence is simply boring. You can choose a seat that suits you: at one of the standard tables, at a high (marble) table where you can sit with a group, or at the bar adjacent to the open kitchen. Weather permitting, you can relax on the spacious terrace with View of Rosendael Castle. Again, stunning. Prefer something a bit quieter? Then you can also choose a table on the first floor, where there's another atmospheric space. Although Beaune can seat quite a few people, it still feels cozy and inviting.
And then the most important thing: the food. Beaune is named after the Burgundian town in France, where you can stop on your way to the sunny south, for good reason. You might already have guessed it: the kitchen is French-inspired. You can go here for lunch, drinks and dinner, and choose from a starter, main course (a kind of intermediate dish) and specialties that are meant to be shared. And let's the desserts Don't forget. Star chef Ron Blaauw is Beaune's resident advisor, and you already know enough: the dishes are simply delicious. Delicious. Also the wines (the wines, (If you want to stay in the French atmosphere) are of good quality. Yes, all this deliciousness comes at a price, but the surroundings, the atmosphere, and the perfect location next to Rosendael Castle more than make up for it.
Last but not least: besides the delicious food, you can also get married here. A fairytale-like venue that you can rent entirely or partially. Celebrating a wedding at a venue with a large garden, a castle view, and where all the important details are taken care of? Saying "I do" has never been easier (to a venue, that is).
