Book club: hooked on Kobo Plus (+ Kobo competition)

Hooked we are, whole and complete hooked To our Kobo. Kobo, the e-reader specialist, is your purest almost inexhaustible bookstore, so you don't have to leave the house for that either! Staying indoors becomes a breeze. In the Kobo library all (okay, more than five million) ebooks under one URL. Easy does it. And it gets even better: if you have a Kobo Plus subscription, you can read all those books on your own smart phone! Unlimited reading and listening, or you can just do both for a change. Again, easy does it.

KoboPlus

KoboPlus

We can't really think of a better reason to go for Kobo plusses. Now is the time. It's also just damn easy, convenient and delicious time waster. It couldn't be easier: you can even choose to be read to!

The only downside to Kobo is the mega range of books they offer on the website... Something about trees and the forest. We spend more time gazing between the titles than reading/listening to the book. But Bart Stays In wouldn't be Bart Stays In if we didn't make that choice a little easier. Some nice titles to start with:

Willem Asman + Marijke Vos

Willem Asman + Marijke Vos

The Kobo Original thrillers have only just been launched as audiobooks, a first Willem Asman. The audiobook series consists of: Queen's Day, The Cassandra Paradox, Wonderman's endgame en Brittanica.  But of course they are also available as an e-book in Kobo Plus. The best man, Mr. Willem (ha Willem, just like the very best-nicest-friendliest office dog) is characterized by a smooth, straightforward writing style. Don't beat around the bush, just blast with that story. We recommend these books mainly because we are thriller fans. If you really don't like that, read or listen further. Because that's why we have the feel-good novels van Marijke Vos: De wedding planner. It's nice, because it consists of a real series with no fewer than eight (!) parts. There are now three of them online, more to come, you can enjoy it. With a title like Cotton Candy and Toothpicks we are already curious. And while reading, imagine what it's like to be a wedding planner, do we need to say more?

Stephen King + Dick van den Heuvel

Stephen King + Dick van den Heuvel

About Stephen King Hopefully we don't have to clap too much. We call one The Shining and you know. In addition to this well-known story (the film in particular received great acclaim), there are plenty of other writings by King on Kobo Plus.

The Dutch writer is the counterpart to all horror and suspense Dick Van den Heuvel highly recommended. There's no other option if you know that books like Nova Zembla, the Marathon and Kobo Originals audio drama the Crimeanist came from this gentleman's mind. With its beautiful Vietnam you are drawn into a story on the Vietnamese coast where Lien (lead actress) searches for her family history. If you want to escape to the Asian country, the story was launched simultaneously with the musical of the same name, and the audiobook contains music from the musical.

We already mentioned a scoop just now. Love New: All the books that are new in Kobo Plus here..

Judith Noordzij + Jelle Hermus

Judith Noordzij + Jelle Hermus

The website, and app because they have that too, also contains mountains of inspiring stories from inspiring people. For example the much discussed I was a lawyer, now I'm me van Judith Noordzij. A very honest story of how a burnout at a young age can slap you in the face and bring you down to earth for a moment or even worse: sink you to the ground. As an ex-lawyer, Judith put a stop to her burnout, climbed/pulled/fought herself out of it and now helps as a coach by giving lectures.

The slightly lighter one Living with the wind van Jelle Hermus is one to put on the reading list and to read on every now and then, piece by piece. Just when you feel like it, or not, pick up the book and let Jelle tell you why life is fun. Because life is not that difficult. And more often than not, we need to hear that from someone else. Perhaps the very best reading (/listening) tip in these crazy corona times.

Janne Schuijn + Dennis Storm

Janne Schuijn + Dennis Storm

What if it were different can? Well what then? Janne Schuijn, the brain behind this book and mindset coach, explains how things can be done differently. Because life is indeed not a dress rehearsal, is something we are all now experiencing. Learning to deal with your old, stubbornly ingrained patterns and how to get rid of them. Stop worrying and thinking too much about nonsensical things. This woman puts a stop to it.

Hi Dennis, we agree with you. Get rid of it! Declutter that business, get rid of all the unnecessary stuff, come on. Dennis Storm sets us up Get rid of it the hard question about what you really need and thus forces you to go back to the essence. If there is anyone who can tell us, it is this man, Dennis lived as a presenter Three Traveling It's not for nothing that it's been out of his suitcase all these years. Can you get one right away? stuff detox take part during this coronacation.

Kobo Plus for the little ones

Kobo Plus for the little ones

Now that the schools are really closed, locked and will no longer open for a while, it is time homeschooling. The question remains to what extent this will actually happen. To keep the children occupied educationally, there is also a lot of books for the smaller people to find and devour in Kobo Plus. Especially useful, then you can also (quietly) do your work...

Audiobooks for kids (narrated by celebrities) in Kobo Plus:
