Gift tips for a 2 year old child
Suddenly your little one is two. Baby-finished toddler. That doesn't happen without a fight (or a tantrum), but secretly we think this is the best age: your child's character develops even more this year and it becomes increasingly clear what he likes and doesn't like. And your child is now experiencing this second birthday much more consciously. These are our gift tips for a 2-year-old child.

The fascination for odd jobs suddenly arises. Even if you have two left hands and never pick up a screwdriver, you can have a child who turns out to be Bob the Builder. Our little handyman goes crazy about tools, and to prevent him from working with real screws and hammers, we gave him a wooden box with tools from New Classic Toys. So happy with it as a child.
When it comes to large gifts, we are always in favor of a 'growth option', i.e. a balance bike that can be converted from a three-wheeler to a two-wheeler. Veloretti has the most beautiful. And if your child starts practicing in time, he or she will quickly master the real thing.
The flap books make way for the larger search books. It's great to endlessly browse through Alphabet or The Yellow Balloon by Charlote Dematons together on the couch. Even our biggest troublemaker finds some peace and quiet in the evening before going to sleep during reading, and we seize our chance to pull him extra tight against us.

The dream of boys and girls who love the smaller things: a dollhouse. And secretly such an incredibly wonderful project for mothers, right? Wallpapering rooms, looking for furniture, a miniature moon by Amber de Vreng on the wall. We are almost more enthusiastic about it than the kids. By the way, the dollhouse is inhabited by the animals here SylvanianFamily, but the mice from Maileg are so sweet too.
As soon as we start cooking ourselves, or just make a cup of coffee, the mini sprints to its own kitchen to do something culinary. So cozy. We think this is about the nicest IKEA hack there is, but there are also awesome play kitchens for sale that you don't have to add a lick of paint to. Check out the coolest home kitchens here.
Speaking of children's stuff, they also deserve a real gift. The Lovevery block set is the discovery of the century. Because man oh man can it be difficult to find nice toys for the little ones. This block set from lovevery is fun and beautiful. Also important, because it is lying around the house. Okay, not exactly cheap (depending on how you look at it, of course), but we're excited. The blocks are in a beautiful car made of wood and have beautiful colors. The rest of Lovevery is all fun too, by the way.
