Café Cenc in Amsterdam Center is hopefully here to stay
There was a time when it was really hard to find something nice in the center of Amsterdam but that time is long gone. No matter how often we are in East, West, North, South or outside Amsterdam, sometimes an address in the city center is just nice. Here is one to add to your list: Café Cenc in Amsterdam.
Cafe Cenc can be found on the Vijzelgracht at the Prinsengracht, so it is very central if you want to end a day in Amsterdam nicely. Whether you have been in the Pijp, the Kalverstraat, the Leidseplein or along the Amstel, you are never far from here. This latest addition to the team behind all-time favorites and (in the meantime?) classics Bar Parry and Balthazar's Keuken have taken up residence in the building where Bambino used to be. A place that actually deserved more guests, and hopefully is Cafe Cenc well here to stay.
If you're lucky, the sun will shine and you can join the terrace, but inside is almost as nice. Due to the crazy layout of the building, this is not your regular straightforward restaurant. With various small corners, you will always find an intimate spot. What's on the menu? A bit of everything, actually. From fresh fish and daily specials to bar snacks and soft ice cream with olive oil (that's tastier than it sounds). Let the friendly staff advise you on a glass of wine from the extensive wine list and your evening will fly by.
