And in Germany. Throughout Europe, actually. Well, that group launched their first Casa Cook hotel in Greece last summer, on the island of Rhodes. From the moment the first snapshots of that address appeared on the well-known social media, I wanted to go there... What splendor! And how relaxed that looked! Anyway, as it goes, we didn't go (you know that story about that beautiful resort... Right).

And now, now the summer of 2017 opened Casa Cook Kos, the second Casa Cook location. And really, it is true (as I have been told by people who have been to both Casa Cooks): this casa is, if possible, even better. Because this time we went. Ha!

And what a party that was. Firstly the looks. Stunning. Pictures say more than words, so see for yourself.

The location then, on Kos. Let's be honest: after arriving at Casa Cook Kos you don't care about the rest of the island anymore. Kos is a wonderful holiday island, a bit touristy but wonderful, and anyone who has explored the island will soon discover the best spots and the tastiest positions. That person can confirm that the most beautiful beach on the island can be found right on the doorstep of Casa Cook Kos. As I said: forget the rest, this is where you want to be.

The private beach of Casa Cook Kos has wonderful beds - handsome boy who does not fall asleep on them. Right in front of your toes, a nice, quiet, gently rippling sea to slowly disappear into when it gets too hot for a moment and handsome men that you just have to wave at and they will stand with a glass of water or something else on your shoulders.

Suppose you want to do something (I don't know why, but you have those people), then the passionate SUP instructor is ready to start, and you can take surfing lessons at the great surfing school. next door (just arrange it at the Casa Cook desk) and, yes, Casa Cook offers horse riding in the surf (okay, that's really fun), early in the morning or late at night.

The bedrooms of the resort are also something to write home about, to say the least: beautiful, beautiful, but really beautiful in soft earth tones, filled with, FUCK, really nice stuff that is also for sale in the boutique . Fuck yes, because you really want the greyed-blue or old pink linen duster that hangs in the bathroom. You want the round wicker bag that you can borrow during your stay and that you - trust me - really don't want to give it back afterwards. And you want the powder-colored blankets made of softly wrinkled cotton because really, they will also look beautiful hanging in your home, lying down, whatever. You didn't have that yet. At least not one of those.

If the beach gets boring (uh...) then there are two more water options: firstly, the fantastic swimming pool that is sandwiched between the large relaxed bar area (with the beach behind it) and the restaurant where you can watch. being looked at is minimal thanks to the incredibly spacious layout. Yes, jubilation: kudos to organizations that do not fill every square meter of their address. By the way, that worked out well here on Kos: the whole of Casa Cook exudes peace and space. Even if the whole place is fully booked, you won't bump into anyone, there are still beds available and the staff will pay attention to you. Look, we call that a success. You have to arrange the last water option in advance: the medium-expensive (so unfortunately not the cheapest) bedrooms all have a swimming pool in front of the door that you can dive into from your private terrace with your private hammock. Delicious.

Ah, yes, then the restaurant (yes, sorry, Casa Cook is definitely my top 5 resort on the planet so the cheering continues for a while) where an unparalleled breakfast (read: meters and meters of fresh and delicious food) is served in the morning. So it's a long buffet, and if you still want something different, there is also an a la cart menu. Because it is possible. Fresh juices galore in all colors and flavors and fruit and vegetables from our own cultivation where possible. By the way, the people of Casa Cook do not turn a blind eye to special requests such as gluten-free bread, etc. Quite remarkable for 1) such a small island and 2) a quite remote place). This is mainly because the staff of Casa Cook produces and makes almost everything themselves. There is private land on which crops are grown, there are own animals and staff high fived with the farmers from the area - no problem at Casa Cook.

Last but certainly not least: the spa program. While many resorts ignore the gym (which we understand, by the way), a lot of love and attention has been paid to this. The gym is fully equipped, just like the rest of the resort, it is equipped with all the beauty (the sweaty eye wants something too) and the adjacent spa is wonderful. Be sure to book one of the treatments here and let the spa manager guide you for an extra experience: this little coquettish Greek lady (you also want to take her home with you, really) knows an incredible amount of herbs and will happily take her home with you. herb garden. Explain what is bothering you and our herbal lady (by the way, she is young and very pretty!) will tell you which combination of herbs you can use and how to get rid of your ailments. Yes, she even has tips against a hangover. If you want, she will teach you how to make the tastiest herbs from your own pick custom made massage oil and/or honey. And then you lie down, of course.

Interesting is a unique treatment created by Casa Cook in which various healing oils are dripped onto your head for more than 20 minutes (the 'dropper' of course moves, the drops do not fall in one place but flow caressingly over your forehead like a stream). ), followed by a head massage. Truly a new experience! Recommended, yes, but that also applies to the 'regular' massage. With any luck you'll get one of the guys - fantastic.

Okay, then the very last thing, in the 'save the best for last' category: from September Casa Cook Kos also has its own boat that you can book as a couple or with a group. DO IT! We were allowed to try it out (with another boat): movie star holiday from the books! The skipper will sail you for a day along the most beautiful bays and to the clearest blue water ever, can only be reached by boat (JUMP), and then you arrive at a small unknown (Greek people only) into a bay for an unvarnished, pure Greek lunch (in our case it was Lárdos where we ate the tastiest fish ever, but it depends on your own wishes and the whims of the skipper, but it will be a unique address anyway) .
