Chapter breathed new life into the old borgo and once again enlisted designer Tristan du Plessis, who also designed the first Chapter hotel in Rome. Old stone walls, stairs, and vaults remained, but were given a significant contrast by art and modern design. There is no shortage of beautiful details: the black steel chairs at Osso are almost works of art on legs, the delightfully theatrical, striped parasols by Cream Outdoor surround the pool, and the bathrooms feature beautiful marble sinks. And even the bottom of the panoramic pool joins in: a large artwork by Kokekit adorns it.

Chapter certainly hasn't held back outside the rooms either. Osso is inspired by the traditional Italian butcher shop, and Parasole is the pool bar for lunch and cocktails. Inside, the Main Bar went all out with marble, vintage velvet chairs, and fringed sofas. Meanwhile, outside, not only does your cocktail get a coaster, but your chair also gets a skirt. We think that's delightful. Furthermore, there is a 500 m² FARM Social Spa featuring a sauna, hammam, salt and hydrotherapy baths, massages, and treatments. And a hotel gym for people who really work out—in other words, very well-equipped—plus a padel court.
