This is what you must do in Turkish Cappadocia

Oh Cappadocia, you have a moment. You may know it from the amazing hot air balloon photos during the rising sun with champagne, absolutely beautiful (but there's so much more). It is bursting with 'fairy chimneys', 'tuff cones' and underground cities; a true fairy tale, yes.

The area is on the UNESCO World Heritage List due to its ultra-unique nature. Together with the Turkey experts from Go Turkiye, we would like to give you a sneak peak what to do in this special part of Central Anatolia. Hop on the plane, pack and go. Cappadocia, hadi gidelim!

Millocal restaurant

Millocal restaurant

Do you have a moment for the gastronomy and luxury? Millocal restaurant in the city of Uçhisar? A high-end restaurant 'for the cool people'. During the day you have a view of the valleys of Göreme, and in the evening watching the sunset here is a must. The romance content is absolutely fantastic, so getting a Turkish (or your own) date is not an unnecessary luxury. The great thing about Cappadocia is that you can drive everywhere by car and suddenly end up in a place that rattles your senses. This is another one of those. Oh and tip: don't eat too much of the mezes, there will be a main course.

On Jeep safari

On Jeep safari

Why take a hot air balloon ride over the valleys when you can do a jeep safari straight through the valleys? Right, that's what we thought too. No safari with wild animals, binoculars and exciting scenes with elephants. But a hip jeep with a friendly tour guide Cappadox Tour Cappadocia that takes you straight through the nature of Göreme. With sunset, the very best spots of one local and champagne. And a little tip: this guide has a gift for the best photos. To the 'photo shoot in Turkey', but really beautiful.

Lunch at Ziggy Café

Lunch at Ziggy Café

You can also enjoy really tasty local food Ziggy Café in Cappadocia, preferably outside on the terrace by candlelight. But if the weather keeps you indoors, Ziggy Café is also a charmer. Here you will find the interior of a 'Victorian country setting', such as: soft armchairs, iron lamps and dark wood upholstery. Enough about the terrace and interior, it remains a café. So one glimpses of this menu and right on number one: sweet ziggy (=borek with cinnamon and icing sugar).

And who or what is Ziggy? It's the dog! A terrier from owners Nuray and Selim Yüksel, named after a David Bowie album.

Love valley & Pigeon valley

Love valley & Pigeon valley

The Love valley You probably know it from the photos on Pinterest, this is a nature valley in the Göreme Historical National Park. The area is almost 2 km and connects the villages Göreme en Cavusin. The tourist viewpoints are something overrated, just a hike straight through the valley or a tour on horseback are definitely worth it.

Also the Pigeon Valley You probably haven't missed it, this is a piece of pure beauty and silence in nature. This natural valley is located between villages Uchisar en Göreme, and much less crowded. You can walk through this straight from Göreme and it is definitely worth it! There is one resident that catches your eye, the pigeon. Oh well, quite nice
