Dream address: Tent Camp Capella Ubud, Bali
Of course, you don't just get the title 'the best hotel in the world'... Well, this place in Ubud did it. Ubud. In Bali. That too. At Bart we are quite fond of Bali anyway. Just take a look here in Barts Bali list.
Bali is one of the world's most favorite holiday islands, where tourism has increased enormously in recent years, but where you can still find peace and space, including Capella.
Maybe Capella is a little above your budget, but keep in mind that islands like Bali are (also) something support and can use love. And that an island like Bali is really not expensive. How nice to stay a night or two at Capella and then move on to another part of the island. Oh and for all honeymooners over here, Capella is the destination.
Anyone who knows Bali knows that the island has quite a few different scenes. If you are looking for peace and quiet on the island, Capella is the right place for you. Capella is one tented camp in the middle of the bush Bali. Tent? You understand, not real tents but very luxurious. Even glamping is not the correct term here, but ok. Chic scenes in the middle of the Bali bush, let's just leave it at that. Jungle villas that's it.
De formal and casual looks do you want to know? Everything beautiful, colorful, natural materials and then a touch boho over it. Exotic, oriental and all in keeping with the Bali landscape.
There are different types of accommodations to sleep in, choosing is difficult, that's for sure. So you have The Lodge, with an open living room, private swimming pool, several terraces picture-perfect view over the Keliki valley. Several stunning bedrooms and two bathrooms including a hand-hammered copper bath. The Lodge is ideal if you are traveling with kids.
The Kelki Valley Tent is also a dream. This 'tent' is for two people. What makes everything so special is that it is so 'open'. Nature is central here and you notice that in everything, love. Here again an open living room, private pool, a terrace and an outdoor dining area for a dinner for two, romantic much.
Okay, one more, the River Tent. This one is also for two people. Fall asleep at night with the sound of a flowing river in the background. The River Tent has in- and outdoor showers, dining areas, great days-beds and rapapapam a private swimming pool.

Not only is there a lot to choose from when it comes to rooms, there are also more than enough restaurants here. Ah great, because food is quite important, isn't it? Fortunately that is over Bali yes mustache, because my oh my what can you see cooking here. At Capella they have two main restaurants, a bar, a fireplace where you can enjoy a drink and there are various options for this private dining. But why private if you can sit in such beautiful restaurants? Exactly, sitting down, people watching, good conversations, more wine, more food and all that with a Bali breeze and nice music in the background. The focus of the food is seasonal, sustainable and local friendly.
Do they also have a wellness area at Capella? Yes, certainly, and what kind. Various treatments can be booked in your own tent. There is also a fitness center and they use sustainable local care products everywhere. Also nice are the yoga and pilates classes.
