Dream hotel (and affordable too): 1902 TOWNHOUSE Mallorca

As far as I am concerned, the town of Sóller on the west coast is the best base for a stay in Mallorca. It is both authentic and a bit touristy (a little is allowed) and the west coast of course has the most beautiful sunsets. Sóller is easy to reach from Palma and has plenty of hotels, but after a bit of a lack of choices it stopped hip Bikini Hotel and the timeless 1902 Townhouse Mallorca head and shoulders above it all.
First the latter, the 1902 Townhouse: the bright rooms here are remarkably affordable. No, not cheap, but with an average price of 150 euros per room per night, including breakfast and the quality of the hotel, it is a really good deal. The terrace with swimming pool is beautiful and even if you don't manage to get a room, the restaurant is highly recommended. The location is also just right: a short distance from the picture-perfect center of Soller. Be quick: the rooms generally sell out quickly. That said: did you know that Mallorca is also a great mini-trip? Recover for a long weekend. And a hotel like the 1902 Townhouse is perfect for that.
