food trucks at your wedding
Look, a food truck at your wedding may not be the most original idea out there, but first of all let us tell you the most important tip for preparing your wedding: fun/nice/good/delicious trumps original! Ha! And there is little fun/pleasant/cozy/better than delicious food from a delicious food truck. Moreover, the people from the food truck take their kitchen with them and take all the mess home with them afterwards. Plus: instant festival vibes.
To help you see the forest for the trees, we give you three that we find fun/tasty/remarkable. Cosy, tasty low key, perfect for your wedding.
A bit of the French countryside (thanks to a crazy converted old horse cart) and a bit of the best of Italy (on the menu. Pizza! Pasta! Espresso!): that's exactly what we want for our summer wedding and let food truck Bar Biga this now written all over the place to have. Just starting out, no experience, plenty of enthusiasm: and so the blue van promises nothing but good.
Pizzaaaa. We say pizzaaaaa. We'll stick to pizza for a while. Wood oven baked, of course. Yes, there are tons of choices. We keep it at two, that of Old Scuola and Capri Pizza. We will explain that of Capri Pizza: admittedly, the website is really a bit inferior (we can't do anything about it). But the totally cute trucks from which the pizzas are conjured up make up for everything. Capri Pizza has several food trucks by the way. Also for pasta or hot dogs (but no, we don't serve hot dogs at a wedding. Right?). If you don't like these trucks that much, Old Scuola is your answer.
In case you're thinking, of course I want hot dogs at my wedding. Then you can indicate this to Watt. They'll make them for you in a moment. So from that food truck. Hot dogs, tortillas or champagne with oysters. Give us the latter. Watt is a van that is 100% electric. The truck was made by students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and caterer Ma Guise. And Linde and Iris run the toko (truck). Everything is negotiable with the ladies! You want this environmentally responsible atmosphere at your wedding.
We don't really need to ask you what they do, given the name. This food truck grills and smokes until you drop. That full belly. Full of sustainable meat and honest vegetables that are freshly prepared for you. They don't shy away from grilled lobster either. And we certainly don't do that either. Come on. And the vegetables come straight from the farmer. So they know all about short lines. Bridal menu can be put together with them. They also do a tasting twice a year in Alphen aan de Rijn for future bridal couples. Sympathetic indeed.
Just because of the name – Ministry of Happiness, what more could anyone want at their wedding – we are big fans of this food truck club. And not only that: the cooking here is completely plant-based, and that's delicious!
