Idiot proof, really beautiful (permanent!) green in your home, thanks to green-stories.nl

It's been a while since we've been as excited about something as we are about it Green Stories. We will explain it in detail, but before you give up prematurely (no idea why you would do that, but still): the Dutch Green Stories is the plant hack for everyone who - like us - cannot keep a plant alive. And who, just like us, loves healthy greenery in the house (and on the balcony)! It was always an incessant frustration, until we Green-Stories.nl discovered...

The idea behind Green Stories is just as good as it is simple – after all, those are the best ideas.

It went something like this: Have you ever noticed that office plants, in those immense, overly corporate, uninspired government agency-style offices, always do well? And if you secretly feel the leaves, they turn out to be real? Well, Martine from Green Stories noticed that too. That, and a family background in plants, made her and her partner Nicole investigate. Because HOW-SO is it possible there, and most people can't manage it at home? The answer turns out to be hydroponics. Hydro wattage? Hydroponics. Plant in pots full of grains instead of in soil. You know them, those rust-colored uneven clay granules. If you really want to know the ins and outs, grab the wikipedia page about hydroponics.

It is even better to contact us immediately Green-Stories.nl so that Martine and her niece plus Green Stories partner in crime Nicole can tell you in their own passionate and truly inspiring way. Speaking of great stories: the grandfather of the two thirty-somethings started as a horticulturalist more than 60 years ago and greenery has never left the family since. The family celebrated Sinterklaas every year in grandpa's greenhouse. When this seemed to stop, Martine and Nicole, who were both doing very different things at the time, decided to dive into the green trade together in order to keep the family name and the Sinterklaas parties alive. Meant to be we call that.

Martine and Nicole can explain it best themselves, but in short it means that the plants are true Green Stories works with, are grown on those clay granules and are therefore used to growing in them instead of in soil. Born hydro plants, the green of Green Stories. That ensures that they will also do well in your home: each plant comes in its own pot in which the plant is already completely 'at home' and feels great. The granules contain a water meter that shows you exactly how much and when your plant is thirsty. In this case, a child could really do the laundry.

Martine and Nicole can explain it best themselves, but in short it means that the plants that Green Stories works with are grown on those clay granules and are therefore used to growing in them instead of in soil. So born hydro plants, the green of Green Stories.

As mentioned, the two delved into the age-old hydro-matter, but with a fresh idea behind them: the current range of hydroponic plants was, to say the least, rather dusty, in keeping with the aforementioned government institutions. That had to be possible differently. Alleluia. And so it happened: the duo looked for and found contemporary plants and attractive pots in which to grow their Green Stories-proof plants. Everything with a lot of care and love for nature because - it is almost no surprise - sustainability also comes first at Green Stories. Alleluia times two.

This is how wicker baskets, rattan containers, wire baskets and more were introduced, and possibly grayed wood bark to cover the clay granules (sometimes a little in the face namely, all that orange-rusty stuff in your house), beautiful designer pots made of terracotta and light gray concrete look and accessories were added that give your house full of plants the necessary extra decoration (those cozy rattan seats for example).

At Green Stories you don't 'just buy a plant'. No no no! Martine and Nicole will help you with a complete plant plan for your home. Exactly why we are so enthusiastic: on the Green-Stories.nl site, even people who really want to grow, but who are always unable to keep a plant alive, can tell their story. And choose their own story. What is it you are looking for? What would you like in your home? What are the wishes and pain points? And because you may not know the answers exactly, everything is made visual with attractive examples. This way you choose the images that you like and/or fit in your home, and gradually create exactly the story you want to bring into your home via the green-stories.nl website. Nothing standard: you start with a base that you like and gradually refine it until the perfect story is told for your home. It is even possible to have Martine or Nicole come into your home for an extensive plant plan. What is best where? Do you want a wall or a subtle dot of green here and there? Cacti or lush greenery? Hanging plant perhaps? They have it all, including the most attractive pot-plant story, and know exactly what works where.

Cacti or lush greenery? Hanging plant perhaps? They have it all, including the most attractive pot-plant story, and know exactly what works where.

Are you out? Then one of the two girls, Martine or Nicole, will personally deliver the whole thing to your home. Including unpacking the plants, putting them in place, and depending on your choice, some extra styling. Because in addition to green fingers, the two also have taste. For example, our rather plant-unfriendly office included cacti in front of the narrow window and a cute closed pot with plants for the table (what the heck?! Well, it's beautiful!). In short: if you treat yourself to something at home, let it be a Green Stories project. That will make you happy, I promise. Green-Stories.nl
