Los Little Escapos: the most beautiful beach in Spain can be found in Chipiona (Cádiz, Spain)

Why would you want to go to the town of Chipiona, near Cadiz in Andalusia, Spain? Because 'they' (the Spaniards) say that here you will find the most beautiful beaches in the country. Or at least one of the most beautiful. That's what we call 'Los Little Escapos!'. A perfect holiday destination on its own, or the ideal relaxing stopover during your summer road trip along the coast of Spain (because there really isn't much else to do).

Chipiona is a lovely little coastal town built around a lighthouse and a beach castle (yes really) and with a special beach full of rock plateaus that flood at high tide and turn into mini bays for crabs and lobsters at low tide. The Belgian Miriam opened her here B&B Chipibeach Chez Flo. A small hotel-style B&B with five rooms, all equipped with cool (which is a terrible word, but it fits here) wallpaper, and no fewer than three terraces. Including a roof terrace with summer kitchen and barbecue. Literally a highlight. There is no swimming pool, but that doesn't matter: the aforementioned beach is less than a two-minute walk away. In addition, it is just a short exploration to the small town of Jerez de la Frontera with its impressive cathedral (that beach castle), Cadiz and the always fun Sevilla. And not only that: if you explore the rolling interior of Cadiz, you will pass and pass through numerous idyllic white (mountain) villages. But first that second B of B&B: breakfast. That is different every day. From a toasted sandwich with goat cheese to quiche and scrambled eggs and with a bit of luck you will eat it with your nose in the sun.
