Hôtel des Peintres, Paris (France)
An art hotel that lives up to its name. Hotel of Painters opened in Paris in September 2026 in the ninth arrondissement, and here art does not hang on the wall merely as decoration. There are about thirty original works in the hotel, found at antique dealers and auctions.
Hôtel des Peintres is located on the rue de Bruxelles, a quiet pedestrian street between Pigalle and Place de Clichy. In the late nineteenth century, the building served as a boarding house for young artists attending Parisian art academies. Monet lived around the corner on the rue d'Édimbourg. The Place de Clichy metro station is two minutes away, and the Opéra Garnier and Galeries Lafayette are a fifteen-minute walk.
The hotel belongs to film producer Abel Nahmias, who also breathed new life into the concert halls Le Trianon and the Élysée Montmartre. For the interior, he brought in set designer Antoine Fontaine and architect Agathe Chabolle. It shows: velvet and silk by Pierre Frey and Manuel Canovas, bathrooms of red breccia marble, and restored 18th-century stained glass. Each of the seventeen rooms is different.
There is no restaurant. However, there is a courtyard of about fifty square meters where you have breakfast in the morning and a drink later in the day. Upon arrival, you receive their own Guide du Flâneur, with addresses off the beaten tourist paths. Hôtel des Peintres is listed on Booking.com under the same name.
