Hôtel Lulu Paris: new and effortlessly cool hotel on the Rive Gauche (Paris, France)

Effortlessly cool Paris scores another one like that. And by "one like that," we mean: one of those hotels where you see the photos and think: touché. Hotel Lulu opened in September 2026 on the Boulevard du Montparnasse and has only 27 rooms. Drink coffee downstairs, move on to the piano bar later in the day, and in between, just be very satisfied with the fact that you are on the Rive Gauche. The interior is warm, quirky, and quite handsome, and on top of that come the stories behind all that beauty that make Hôtel Lulu charming. Here we go.

Behind Hôtel Lulu is Vanessa Scoffier, whom you might know from Hôtel Henriette, and here too she took charge of the interior design herself. She mixed modernism with brutalist touches and a generous dash of the Côte d'Azur, interspersed with genuine vintage pieces by Verner Panton, Tommaso Barbi, and Curtis Jeré, among others. Furthermore, there are plenty of personal details: old family portraits from Scoffier's family home in Nice hang upstairs, and the bathrooms were inspired by the swimming pools of the Mediterranean, with colored mosaic tiles as a nod to the south of France. During the renovation, an old sign from Hôtel de Nice even turned up: coincidentally the city where Scoffier herself hails. The name Lulu? A nod to the Jardin du Lu(lu)xembourg just around the corner.
