Yes, the center of 's-Hertogenbosch is great if you want to explore all the restaurants and cafes. It might be a ten-point walk to your bed, but during a city break, we much prefer to stay just around the corner. In Vught, at the boutique Hotel Ryder.
The hotel has a retro urban style, you can park right outside and hop on an e-bike to the city center (ten minutes on a regular bike, so you'll save money). And then there are Lazy Sundays, because after visiting the hotel bar or exploring the restaurants and cafes in town, you'll probably want to sleep in. We're finding ourselves making a detour to Vught more often these days. We've been doing this for a while now in the summer for the Ijzeren Man and a few fine dining spots in the village, but since the corner of Fort Isabella We'll be back more often after renovations. It's a nice urban space with a food hall, a beer café, a bistro, and the most delicious pizzas. And one hundred percent that Hotel Ryder contributed to that.
With the addition of thirty rooms, Fort Isabella's main building was given a new purpose. The fort itself is a renovated barracks site with a history dating back to the 17th century. Now, you step into a living room that serves as a reception area: a living room combined with a bar where you'll be more than happy to linger.
The rooms range from spacious hotel rooms with lofts and double showers to luxurious bathrooms and a bridal suite. The interiors were designed by King Kongs. Light hues, soft lighting, patterns, and local art—a touch of Art Deco meets modern city chic. High ceilings and large windows complete the look.
