2 Wonderful (print clash) hotels in the heart of Palma de Mallorca (copy paste home please!)
Are we going to cross out hotels? Palma de Mallorca, then these remain: Hotel Mama and Hotel Cort. Two hotels on Plaça de Cort, a square around a centuries-old olive tree where Palma's town hall is also located. Hotel Cort is perhaps a little younger in look, feel and vibe hotel Mama, but they both have a preference for fresh colors and divine print clashes.
One does this with a classic French stroke (Hotel Mama), the other does it with a more surfy Scandi foot (Hotel Cort). The port of Palma (where you park your car) is less than a ten-minute walk away. Differences? Hotel Cort is built against a hill, which means there are many height differences and terraces on all levels. On the third floor you will find a sun terrace, a bar for drinks and snacks and views over the city and the sea beyond. The restaurant has that never out of style brasserie feeling with traditional tiles on the floor, burning candles and jazz from the speakers.
The rooms of the younger (since 2018) and slightly larger (there are 32 rooms; at Hotel Cort there are half as many) Hotel Mama look a little more mature - the beachy print of Hotel Cort has been replaced here by a floral print reminiscent of the French countryside. The always-holiday atmosphere is in the name of designer Jacques Grange (who also counts Princess Caroline of Monaco, Alain Ducasse and Francis Ford Coppola among his clientele) and it is a bit like walking through a rack of beautiful beach towels.
