To marry. Man, there's a lot involved. It's great fun to arrange everything (or have it arranged), but it's quite a challenge job itself. You can outsource plenty, but you really have to go out and get that wedding dress yourself. But what do you want? Some may have known for years what their dream outfit is, but hey: taste changes, your body changes and times also make more and more possible. Do you want a dress? A skirt? A jumpsuit? A suit? And how do you approach that? The tip: stop by Iek's Bridal in Amsterdam East.
Founder and owner Marieke makes everything herself. Everything. From skirts to dresses. Do you like that one top, but do you want a different bottom? Marieke comes with the scissors, needle and thread and bam: exactly the outfit you want. Do you want a sweater? A knit? A revealing top and you can't find the right one? Marieke van Iek's Bridal is coming to the rescue.

The woman behind Iek's Bridal is Marieke Hendriks. With a background in fashion & design and more than ten years of experience in teaching sewing lessons, Marieke has the perfect combination of know-how and an eye for what each bride looks like. A niece got married in 2015 and she had exactly what she wanted in her head, but couldn't find it anywhere. Hop into the sewing machine and by chance Marieke fell completely in love with designing and making wedding dresses. A few years and hundreds of wedding dresses later, there is Iek's Bridal in Amsterdam East where everyone can go for the perfect outfit.

Everything is handmade in the studio itself, so that complete control remains there. Can be wedding dresses, jumpsuits, trousers with a top: everything is mix & match proof. During the fitting session you can try on everything and you will receive the right tips and tricks. Already have an idea in your head, but you don't know how exactly it should be expressed? You'll figure it out together. Already have a skirt? A suitable top will be found in no time. In consultation you will look for the right silhouette, fabric and color and you will find the dress that suits you exactly.
Please note: they do not make adjustments to dresses that are not made by Iek's Bridal, nor do they purchase new or second-hand dresses.
