All-time favorite: Cheese Bar Amsterdam
Good old Dutch cheese in a completely new guise. Cheese bar it works on Ferdinand Bolstraat. The restaurant (located where the sweet My Aunt's Cake used to be) is conquering the market with a completely new, exciting (exciting? for cheese? yes!) concept. It's cheese's turn, and what a turn! Bee Cheese bar Amsterdam you get cheese (yo) in advance, cheese as a main course, cheese on the side and cheese for dessert. We are not talking about the cheese board but about cheese ice cream. Yes, real cheese ice cream (and that's delicious!). Bonus: all the cheeses are from Dutch home soil.
In February, the men of Kaasbar Amsterdam moved into the special corner building on Ferdinand Bol. We must say that it is an excellent location to establish a catering experience like this in the cozy Pijp. Anyway, Kaasbar has no direct competition at all, so location is anything but applicable here. What does apply is the fantastic concept of the Cheese Bar creators. You take a seat at the (cheese) bar and promptly delicious cheeses roll past on a conveyor belt. Literally: all cheeses are presented on a treadmill (how nice). There you can pick any cheese from the band according to your taste and put together your own dinner. Mind you, (almost) everything consists of cheese. Supplemented with here and there some charcuterie, also from Dutch soil, for the necessary balance. Cheese bar is less fun for vegans. All cheeses are from real Dutch cows, sheep and goats. Sorry.
We are excited! Especially because each cheese comes with a different glass in the form of a tasty pairing. Different wines and beers have been selected for each (yes, each) cheese. And there's more. Kaasbar has joined forces – better said, merges – with De Kaaskamer. And how! A selection of cheese fondues has been added to the menu especially for the cold winter months (yes, it's already that time). Not just any fondue like on a winter sports holiday, but three different fondues that are really delicious. How about Swiss (okay, winter sports inspired), Dutch or truffle fondue? With every fondue you get some bread and crudite. Extra fun: one portion can be enjoyed by two.
