We would like to kick off with the most surprising neighborhood in Hamburg; Eppendorf. To get there, you mainly cycle or walk along the lake outer Alster where you can admire sailing boats, joggers, walkers and houses. Once in Eppendorf, small coffee bars, lunch shops and independent boutiques are everywhere. Plus a cozy atmosphere with young people and pleasant noise.
Starting with favorite Aendre. Beautifully serene in terms of looks, a cozy terrace and ditto audience (beautiful, serene and cozy). Particular praise for the food. From porridges to salads, everything is richly endowed with lots of taste and love. Also for coffee with (guilt-free) you are in for some goodies Aendre Good. The business was founded by the Dutch Janine who created a healthier and more healthy lifestyle with soul food connected wants to spread life.
Another beauty in Eppendorf Balz und Balz. In a nice shop (photo) you can enjoy the best coffee with your delicious breakfast and lunch.
Just like the aforementioned two tents Lowinskys on the Lehmweg. Slightly more basic in terms of menu but definitely recommended for good coffee with quick food such as well-filled toasts and cakes.
Nord Coast Coffee Roastery (photo) has three locations in Hamburg. Besides good ones specialty coffee they have an extensive menu with the standard brunch and lunch dishes. In an industrial interior you can enjoy (scrambled or poached) eggs, waffles, bowls and paninis.
Also Elbgold Coffee has several locations, of which the one in Eppendorf is not the most beautiful. But you will definitely get good, really good coffee here.
Sternschanze, Schanzenviertel and Karolinenviertel are the place in Hamburg where you will find many bars, restaurants and coffee shops. The neighborhoods have a raw edge and are most comparable to East Berlin with their graffiti and cult feeling. You will find hipster coffee or specialty coffee on every corner here.
Here it is Elbgold Röstcaffee on the fun warehouse site (photo) where there are several great catering establishments. In a beautiful warehouse with a large terrace you can smell the coffee beans during the roasting process and enjoy a good cup of tasty treats in the meantime.
Just around the corner Blanco Coffee in a Japandi interior. Manufacture Coffee Roasters (photo) is tasty laid back and industrial. It's a nice place to be inside the warehouse or on the terrace.
Next to Schanzenviertel is Karolinenviertel where you can find many small shops in the Marktstrasse. And where there are shops, there are coffee and lunch spots.
Get a really good cup of (including DAK) coffee Goldenblack Coffeestore. Try to sit here if you're hungry because the giant cookies, cardemon buns, toasted sandwiches and bagels finger licking good.
You can have a nice lunch or brunch on the corner of a sweet street with green front gardens In good society.
In the tight business Teikei Café you drink sustainable coffee that they grow themselves in Mexico in a social and ecological project. In addition to this coffee, they also serve delicious fresh lunches and sweets.
Bites is your vegan spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This eatery serves delicious, plant-based, healthy dishes.

Marshall Street Coffee is the brunch spot to be. Australian style coffee, pancakes and avocado or salmon on sourdough bread. A hip menu in a quiet atmosphere.
Brühwerk is a fresh place with good coffee and treats. In terms of looks, it wouldn't look out of place in big cities like New York or London. You will also find some in the center Mutterlands which is similar to our Stach. Also Elbgold en Nord Coast have a branch here that is great for good coffee, brekkie and lunch.
If you descend further towards the river, you will first arrive at Portugiesenviertel. Here you will find many Portuguese restaurants that are a bit touristy. It's an odd duck milk. This place with the looks of a retro diner serves coffee with snacks and of course pastel de nata.
In St.Pauli you are there BeachPauli relax with your feet in the sand and look out over the Elbe. This beach club with a beachcomber feel is a chill hangout where you can enjoy lunch or dinner both indoors and outdoors. Café hejpapa, secretly in the Neustadt district, is a relaxing place for breakfast and lunch.
