Last minute to the Olympic mountain village: these are your options
Normally, Olympic host cities are fully booked months in advance. That almost goes without saying. However, this year we're seeing something striking—and for that, we're referring to a Booking.com study—several iconic Olympic mountain resorts are surprisingly quiet, even during the Games. Where we expected packed slopes and sold-out hotels, there appears to be a relatively large amount of availability for the final week. Interesting!
Booking.com data shows that Dutch travelers are actually more cautious this year when it comes to specific mountain villages like Cortina d'Ampezzo, Livigno, Predazzo, and Tesero. It seems the expectation of extreme crowds and higher prices has actually led to postponement. And that means Olympic mountain villages with more peace and quiet than you might expect during such a global sporting event.
