Le Coucou in Méribel is the winter fairytale of every winter sports enthusiast (and non-winter sports enthusiast)
The days are getting colder and (okay, we admit it) we give the heating a careful boost here and there. That means: thick sweaters, raincoats and wet socks. But, that also means one of our favorite moments of the year: winter sports! Let's be honest, the transition from summer to fall to winter is tough. But there are those bright spots that quickly make us forget all the cold and bleakness. Tear off the slopes in your best suit, followed by well-deserved après-ski. And if you do, we have your new favorite address: Le Coucou in Méribel in France.
Create a five star luxury hotel. They are and we are very fond of them from time to time. Because we all benefit from a little pampering every now and then. Le Coucou is a gem among the French mountains. Here you won't just sleep like a baby (or should we say... block). You also zoom off the slopes and straight into the spa. At Coucou you can choose from 7 room types in the hotel and two private chalets: Chalet Eglantine and Chalet Eléonore. And, those chalets are colossal and fully equipped. They are spread over four floors, with a total area of 590 m2. You can accommodate up to 12 people here (read: the whole family and then some). They each have four bedrooms, four bathrooms and (sit down for a moment) a butler. The interior? Super clever! The only tartan you will encounter here is in a pastel shade on a chair teddy dust .
Those chalets may be a bit big for just you and your loved one. Fortunately, the hotel is just as beautiful and handsome as the two houses. And... don't expect boring white bath slippers here: they have the cutest moss green slippers for you, your foliage and your mini!
Intensive winter sports require relaxation and they understand that very well at Coucou! Swimming pool, sauna, sports facilities, they have (almost) everything here. Would you like to be really pampered? Then book one of the massages, such as a Hot stone massage of deep tissue for stiff muscles. Would you like to do something special with your girlfriend, mother or sweetheart? Then book one of the duo massages. Does your skin deserve some extra love in that cold? Then go for one Facial. And… Le Coucou has a huge range of treatments especially for men. So bring your father along too!
Good sleep comes with good eating. And Coucou also understood that aspect well. So you can sit here during breakfast (or lunch, or breakfast and lunch and drinks) on a sun-drenched terrace. This hotel has two restaurants and a bar, so you never get bored and can try something different every night. Everything and everyone has been thought of here: from meat to... plant based, from strong beer to fruity cocktails.
