Nowadays you will find Maison Russe in the former mansion of Alfred Nobel. This restaurant is a Parisian copy of Café Physkin in Moscow. Chic the fidget with a Slavic touch. No coffee and croissants on the menu, but caviar, lobster and potato. The food and service are variable, but if you... suckers If you are looking for hysterical interiors, you have come to the right place. What's extra nice is that you can take some of that interior home with you, because Maison Russe has its own boutique where, in addition to Russian and French delicacies, they also sell interior items.
Although the food isn't exactly out-of-this-world, the atmosphere is. Dim lights, lots of wood, velvet chairs and baroque print all over. In summer it is wonderful to relax in the garden with a glass of wine. In the Jardin de Maison Russe you sit at cute tables among the lanterns, roses and jasmine. Too cold to sit outside? Then drink a Russian cocktail or vodka at Bar Les Poupees Russes. If you really want good food, Maison Russe may not be your place, but the atmosphere makes up for a lot.
