If you're in anyway Milan then at least try this new favorite: MAM. What does it stand for? Milano Amore Mio. The 60s café is located near the Corso di Porta Romana, where one hotspot after another has quietly opened its doors in recent years. Virtually silent, without disturbing the pleasant atmosphere of the neighborhood. In a small side street, via Moratoir at number 7, it opened just as silently MAM: you walk right past the two windows, one of which is the kitchen. So don't do that. Provided you fancy a genuinely good vegetarian meal that is (brunch, any one?). Or just a cup of coffee with sweet cake, also a good idea. But if you are going to dine extensively, expect, for example, black lentil soup with home-baked sourdough bread, pumpkin with gorgonzola cream and peppers and black blueberry pie.
