Oh the nostalgia! The milkman! He came to us every Wednesday, Bert, and when milkman Bert passed by, it was a party. In any case, I was born and raised on the farm (and no, we didn't drink milk straight from the cow) and although I couldn't wait to leave for the Big City, a number of village things will remain my favorite memories forever. Like Wednesdays at Milkman Bert's (we were often waiting for him and usually hung around in his car for at least 3 minutes). And guess what? MOMA Amsterdam brings the milkman back to the streets of Amsterdam. In other words: the news that makes you sad. And next week too.

It goes like this: within a radius of 12 km from Amsterdam, 206 farmers produce almost 1,500,000 liters of milk per week, enough to supply all of Amsterdam with dairy. Yet less than half a percent of this milk finds its way directly to the city. More than Milk Amsterdam (MOMA, not to be confused with the museum in New York) wants to change this. Let's clap.

How do they do that? Simple. By reintroducing the milkman. From June 15, MOMA will bring the milkman to Amsterdam to peddle dairy on the city's squares every week. The first 568 pints (568 ml each) will be distributed for free, so be quick!

Check in the card on the MOMA website to see when the milkman is where. Moreover, the MOMA milkman has taste: he started on June 15 Scandinavian Embassy and June 16 at 4850 (Camperstraat 48).
