When Cloud 7 Roma Hotell you feel like you are in seventh heaven. Or on cloud nine, in Italian. At least, if you have earplugs in. The hotel is located on the Via del Corso, one of the most popular streets in the city. With a pair of plugs in your ears, that disadvantage turns into an advantage, because from here you can walk to the most famous sights of Rome. That is a plus, but Cloud 7 scores most points with the interior: fresh colours, lots of light, a work of art here and there and friendly staff.
Flowers on the wall, blocks on the couch, diamonds on the floor… At Casa Monti Roma you see prints everywhere, but no hysteria anywhere. That's because everything fits together perfectly (or not and therefore does). Interior designer Laura Gonzalez went all out on all six floors, resulting in a colorful artwork of a hotel interior. The contrast between the interior of The Rome EDITION and Casa Monti could hardly have been bigger. Where Casa Monti features all the colours of the rainbow, The Rome EDITION's colour palette consists of beige, brown and even more beige. Certainly not ugly, but a lot more minimalistic and less exuberant. A matter of taste. The restaurant is a bit more colourful, with long green curtains hanging on the walls.
There is no accounting for taste. That is why it is useful to use the filter options of Booking.com can specify exactly what you want and don't want. There is unfortunately no filter for floral wallpaper (yet), but you can go to Barts Boekje for that. Golden combination, if we say so ourselves.
A trip on the Orient Express has been on our bucket list for as long as we can remember. As if that list wasn't long enough, we can add another one to it: an overnight stay at Orient Express The Minerva in Rome.. The interior is at least as chic and stylish as that of the legendary train compartments. Dark wood, velvet benches and marble statues – everything breathes art deco. Choosing between restaurant Gigi Rigolatta on the roof and La Minerva in the lobby is actually impossible, but fortunately you can't make a wrong choice. A wise choice: start saving now.
Everything goeth at The Goethe Hotel. In any case good enough to earn five stars. Bubbles and flowers upon arrival, a bed you never want to get out of (except to look at the stars through the telescope) and a breakfast that you Law (You) say against.
The hotel is a tribute to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, who spent part of his life in Rome Italian Journey wrote. The most artistic thing about this hotel is the infinite library: a circular installation that revolves around the solace and magic of culture.
Also with Palazzo Talìa is everything fine. That could well be because the hotel, like The Goethe Hotel, is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. You can hang out everywhere in and around the hotel: outside on the patio, on a stool at Bar della Musa, with your trouser button undone (but your shirt over it – it’s not a pizza place) after you’ve eaten your fill at restaurant Tramae, or in the spa. The silver tiles by the pool are reminiscent of a mermaid’s tail. If you love mermaids, you’ll love the pool even more. If you love the rooms and suites even more, they’re all prettier than pretty.
