Parents and kids-proof accommodation on Curaçao: Morena Resort Curaçao
You say Curaçao, then you secretly say, (also) Jan Thiel Baai. Okay, that's a bit of a stretch, but still: even though we love beach hopping on the beautiful island (you can read our article about the most beautiful beaches in Curaçao here: the most beautiful and nicest beaches in Curaçao), no island visit goes by without spending a day or so chilling on the raked, wonderfully comfortable beach of the Jan Thiel Bay. Comfortable, full of nice restaurants (just walk to Koko's!), a (Dutch) supermarket and a nice beach. In short: fun for young and old. Close by - around the corner from the bay - you can stay at one of our favorite hotels on the entire island: it Morena Resort Curacao. Where, just like the bay around the corner, it is more than fun for young and old.
On the bay, a miniscule walk to the water and the sunbeds on it (but for those who are not very mobile, thanks to a small child on each finger or hand: you can also drive from A to B by car, we are in Curaçao), if you are smart, check in at the Morena Resort Curacao.
The resort is a small-scale hotel complex that is built up like a mini village of huts, casitas, apartments and complete villas, almost all built on wooden poles and decking. Inside, every accommodation is better equipped than your own home. At least like our own home. Your accommodation has a fantastic and gigantic outdoor area - call it a balcony with a view over the eco-resort. Various hiking trails wind around the huts and the large swimming pool, with a (separate) paddling pool on the side, is the central, always pleasant meeting point where you want to hang out. And if you prefer it a bit quieter, behind the main swimming pool you will find another beautiful pool with clear blue water, surrounded by luxurious sunbeds, palappas and those idyllic 'wicker' parasols.

Eco resort you say? Sure. The luxurious guest cabins are all located in a tropical garden and the resort is one of beautiful, understated opulence. And it is the only Eco Resort on Curaçao that received a gold 'Green Key Award' and a gold Travel Life Award from two internationally recognized environmental labels. Earned.
For the construction of Morena Resort, only sustainable, environmentally friendly materials from fair trade cooperatives from the immediate region were used. The techniques used within the hotel are environmentally friendly. For example, each guesthouse has a solar boiler on the roof that provides hot water all day with just 1 hour of sun.
Your own lovely cabin, a five-minute walk to the nicest bay on the island, everything ecologically responsible... 10 points. And we're not even done yet: Morena Resort Curacao has not one but two restaurants, a large restaurant adjacent to the lobby and reception where a good breakfast is also served and which overlooks the main pool, and a smaller, cozy restaurant on the edge of the second pool. Our favorite for the evenings. Here you will find delicious pizza from the wood-fired oven and exactly that holiday atmosphere you were hoping for when you went on holiday Curaçao booked. Only to stumble three times and tumble into your bed. Even date night is an option: the baby monitor makes it right to the restaurant.
