Naïf Care

In 2019, 2020, it is almost impossible that as a Dutch person, and especially as a Dutch person with children, you have never heard of Naif. Impossible. The sympathetic beauty brand from The Hague that started as a natural, gentle care line for babies has now become a household name that people cannot and do not want to ignore. Basta. And although that natural (all vegan) super softer, caring line for babies is still key Naif Care now much (much!) more than just that.

Much more? Mais oui! In addition to the baby line (more about that later, just wait), there is also Naif Care for adults. Shampoo and Conditioner, Body Lotion and more with the well-known (delicious!) Naif scent and pure care that is not only nice for the smallest buttocks, but also for your own.

That may sound a bit exaggerated – and crazy – but if you think about it for a second, it's actually not that crazy. Soft, uninhibited skin deserves the most gentle care, but why not pamper yourself too?

Anyway, Mini will thank you now and later if you choose not to apply oh-so-sweet-looking but secretly not-so-fresh (read: synthetic junk) butt cream, shampoo or sunscreen. And you yourself too.

And the story continues… Naif has also expanded the baby line with a variety of fine products. We are big fans of the effervescent tablets here. No no, not bath bombs like those from HEMA, for example, that explode in the bath: they contain a lot of harmful substances, hence the explosion. No, the Naif tablets (it looks a bit like a dishwasher tablet), the Naif Bath Bombs, like everything from Naif, are modest and have the characteristic Naif scent. The mini is just magical (that head!) and we (dad and mom) are happy because it is actually a product that has dispelled our bather FOMO (our bath is 4 high in the center of Amsterdam and therefore the water pressure is lousy and we never have foam. Which is okay now, because we have fizz.

Nice detail, the brand was founded by two dads who, in 2013, when they had children, were surprised that even baby care products contained harmful substances.

Anyway, it skincare brand is – you guessed it – a huge hit and Naïf received so much demand for more that they continue to expand. The concept always remains the same: an uncomplicated line of care products with natural ingredients and without pollutants that smell wonderful.

We think the ingredients sometimes sound a bit scary. Stearamidopropyl? Behentrimonium Chloride? And we can name quite a few more. Anyway, if they assure us that it is safe... The website says understandable language what ingredients are and are not used in Naïf. You will also see the no-nonsense range. For example, they don't have 6 different types of shampoos, but just one. Because a shampoo should be good for all hair types is the Naïf philosophy. Ditto for the face cream, shower gel and body lotion. May we make another suggestion? Sunscreen for (the face of) the mothers.
