The hotel, which consists of about ten modern cube-shaped wooden houses, placed on the edge of a cliff, and two more hotel rooms in the main building, is surrounded by impressive nature and a 16th-century church. The building attached to the church houses the communal areas of hotel Consolación: a restaurant, a library, the kitchen and a separate dining room. Everything is both simple and ingenious through the use of wood, concrete and glass, the geometric shapes and the only sporadic use of color. Although this does not apply to one of the two enormous suites: it was decorated in a baroque style, while the other was given a Scandinavian appearance. But the real attractions are of course the cubes. They all have a fireplace, an oval freestanding bath, low beds and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a view of the beautiful surroundings.
