Sun is out! When the sun is shining you naturally want to enjoy it and with spring approaching, the spring fever is starting to come. Terraces in a city like London can sometimes hurt your wallet, but London is bursting with the most beautiful parks to spend the afternoon in. These are the favorite picnic hotspots in London, so you can have a fun afternoon completely budget-friendly.
This has to be the favorite park in London. Firstly, because it is super centrally located: on the one
side you will find Buckingham Palace and on the other side you can walk to Trafalgar Square. Secondly
it is beautifully maintained and always pleasantly busy. You get the picnic supplies
for example at Whole Foods on the side street of Piccadilly Circus; a short walk and you pop
right down in St. James Park.
On Hampstead Heath you will find the chic estate Kenwood House. It's a fairytale
location that you see all too often in films (think Notting Hill and Sense &
Sensibility). In this relaxing place you would almost forget that you are in a metropolis;
the ideal picnic spot!
This picnic spot is many people's favorite and that is not surprising, because you have a fantastic view

The Kew Gardens botanical garden is the perfect spot for a summer picnic. There is enough
space: along one of the ponds, in the shade under the centuries-old trees or near one of
the greenhouses. Please note that you have to pay an entrance fee for this, but in return you will receive a
a good picnic spot and you can visit the beautiful greenhouses with the most beautiful plants and flowers
to admire.
Another place with an enchanting view is near Greenwich in South-East London. From
up the hill you have a view of Queen's House (definitely recommended to take a look inside). Behind it you will find a spectacular skyline of the business district. Moreover, you are also right on the
spot where the Greenwich meridian runs (aha, Greenwich Time!). Done with the picnic? Bring one
visit the Royal Observatory, which is fortunately open again from April 2!
